I just can't get my head around this nose picking thing in public and acutally eating it. And this old bugger was not insane it was just something he did naturally. That this is common practice in Thailand! How clean are these people? Do they wash their hands during the day? How can you sit down in one of their restaurants and eat their food?

I was planning to take a trip to Thailand for 1 or 2 years, but now Colombia is looking much better. People there usully take showers two times a day. They dress well and are very contientious about how they look. Goodbye Thailand hello South America.

Funny, they fnd it rude for a Farang to wear shorts in the city but they can stand there in front of you and pick their nose AND EAT THE CRAP! Call it what you will, but I find it very low class. Sorry for my comments, I do not want to come off like I want to start some arguement here. It is just my opinion and how I feel about this filthy habit the Thais have.

I would like to know more about this subject but it has turned into a major quarreling rant. What about the nose picking issue. How do you bring yourself around to eating the food there. I find the whole idea very repulsive. Sorry but that is how I feel. I wonder if they actually wash their hands after this before preparing food. I hear of an outbreak of a disease among youngseters...no wonder. Sure it's a cultural thing, but hey how gross.

You really paid that much for a pair of pants? Was it for the labor and material? The material must have Italian silk. I enjoy picking out my own material in a shop and taking it to a tailor.

Well I feel pretty stupid here. I did that once and it worked for awhile. I am back to square 1 again and I will be a monkey's uncle if I found it again. I don't see it anywhere on the pages I bring up?

Just a footnote. I have an IRiver MP3 player and love it. I take it everywhere with me. I wouldn't use an Ipod if I was given one. The IPOD has a hardrive...the IRiver does not...just flash memory...so it's better for jogging and can take a beating etc.

I figured it was something to do with the way I set my preferences but cannot see anything I may have done wrong. This is a real problem for me as it is very time consuming, clicking on each response and having to go back to the original post. . I sure hope someone out there has a solution for me and that is not a function of how these forums work.
