  1. ALTER SCHWEDE! Now this is no more wonder! I have always wondered, why Asean Now's "journalism" was of low quality; well, it is just Swedish Bonnier AB like! And Thaiger, which I have always compared to German Axel Springer SE "level", now pairing with Asean Now was purely logical!
  2. Well, it is a local tradition, and I respect the fact that the Thais celebrate this way. After all, we are not to judge local habits. What is nonsense, is when those westerners who forgot to grow up, do the same! Because, at least, Thai people will not target you if you are dressed for work like I was. (There are actually laws for this, but not sure if they are being enforced). But those stupid expats up north in Chiang Mai, they targeted everyone: the last thing you want is to be splashed by one of those, and then being denied in the Grab or Bolt you have been waiting for too long, just because you are wet! You also don't want to be splashed when you are on the way to the airport, because you don't want to get frozen by the AC of the airport or the airplane. And one of those western idiot had thrown a huge quantity of water inside the songthaew in which I was sitting when heading to the airport.
  3. Former Nato Supreme Leader should rather mind his own business.
  4. Same experience at Starsucks: - cash payment -> not even 2 seconds - cashless payments -> ages
  5. So if I understand right: marriage after 4 years e-dating without meeting in real??
  6. If at age 50, you could not afford a fake Rolex, you have failed in your life!
  7. He met the wrong person at the wrong place, since the latter has little decision power in the EU. The right person to meet for this purpose is Red Riding Hood:
  8. Has he caused much bigger troubles back home, so that he prefers to stay in Thai jail??
  9. Which ones? PM 2.5? mRNA? Insect-based lab-grown meat? GMO mosquitos? Artificial clouds? I don't smoke weed, so I am not advocating for this, but I would be curious to know more explicitly about the "other substances"...
  10. He is a YouTuber, he just needs to make views. Period.
  11. He needs to save money for his plastic surgery, cosmetics and K-Pop concerts, that's why!
  12. Maybe Thailand should follow Korea and be more selective of expats/tourists Over my dead body! We already have K-Pop in Thailand, nobody needs to follow Korea in any other matter!
  13. I have lived in Cambodia before, and trust me: the true mafia is not Hun Sen. This, of course, does not make him an angel, but he is nothing compared to the true corrupt organizations ruling in this country.
  14. Partners in crime, you say? I have lived in Cambodia, and trust me: Hun Sen is an angel, compared to the true rulers of the country!
  15. This is not only in Thailand, but also in Cambodia and in Vietnam. I have always seen coffee + milk + sugar or coffee + sugar, but never coffee + milk.
  16. As someone who has already lived in a couple of different countries, I have noticed VERY QUICKLY how Thais are STRONGLY ADDICTED to sugar, ALREADY AT VERY YOUNG AGE! As if they got addicted already in mum's womb! Compared to other cuisines, I find Thai food amazingly sweet, be it noodle soup, fried rice, salad,... I have asked Thais, whether it traditionally has always been the case, and if so, whether they have always been using refined sugar - knowing that it is quite a recent invention in human history -, or whether they were using natural sweetener such as mango-based things... Nobody could give me any answer. I have never been to Burma yet, but I have a Burmese co-worker who recently arrived in Thailand: while she is thankful for having the opportunity to escape her country's situation and to come to Thailand, the very first thing she "complained" about, was how sweet Thai food is! Her Burmese friends told her even before she arrived to buy cooking material, since she would not stand more than a couple of days eating outside! But guess what: when we all have lunch together with the team, one of my Thai co-worker always feel the need to pour sugar in the already sweet meal! Exactly like the French who, like as a reflex, add salt in the already salty meal!
  17. "Celebrating" has never meant "not working".
  18. It is Thaiger "journalism". As I keep saying: same level of "journalism" as BILD Zeitung in Germany. For people who don't know what BILD Zeitung is, it is a piece of paper: a) targeted to people with intellectual level close to the ground b) that cannot even be used as toilet paper; if you ever did, because of the red and black ink, your ass could look like a nazi flag, which is a great paradox, knowing that the BILD belongs to a powerful jewish dynasty...
  19. This is nothing new: governments throughout all countries encourage one thing, naive people invest into this, and once everyone is seriously indebted, governments make a U-turn. Then, banks seize all properties from the same naive people who cannot pay back their debts. Remember the subprime crisis in 2007? Similar story! Same story everywhere with people being encouraged to start smoking, just to only be ostracized like criminals decades later (I am a non-smoker, so just observing). Or to buy diesel cars and then be called all possible names in the name of the climate, etc... Conclusion: never trust any government, never ever follow the masses either!
  20. Yet another BILD-Zeitung-level article from BILD-Zeitung-like Thaiger "journalists": both have in common, not to check any fact before publish! BILD DIr Deine Thaiger Meinung with both links: - Starsucks price -> https://www.starbucks.co.th/menu/ - Minimum wage in Thailand -> https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/thailand-sticks-237-minimum-wage-hike-plan-official-2023-12-20/#:~:text=The current minimum wage is,he told a press conference.
  21. Normally?? According to which criteria?? Never heard of tiger moms?? Man, time to land! This is Asia, not Scandinavia: there is no such things as kids calling the police if parents punish them!
  22. Next time, she could visit Switzerland for holiday: https://images.app.goo.gl/SdveZid5aRkzVv1n8
  23. Meanwhile in China, at the same time, a bag of rice fell to the ground...
