Talk of not having the logistics is utter nonsense. Logistics is the easy part ! You don't need a fancy 5 star hotel or a hospital. In the UK, we have busses in the city centre's doing vaccinations, you have pharmacies, doctor surgeries, churches, stadiums ... any building will do. Nurses, doctors, pharmacists, hell even animal doctors are being used here can administer the shot. It's a national effort.

Of course if by June they can only produce 2 million doses then that is desperatley dissapointing.

Are you for real? a country is saying that they don’t have logistical capabilities to administer millions of vaccines per month.” is a Joke, since april they have had 56,000 people infected, yet they still have not been able to ramp up their vaccination program, the government are not fit for purpose and should be disposed of. This is one of the reasons that Thailand will always be a 3rd world country.

Would you please explain how you conclude "that Rubbish Chinese vaccine ".

well if you think that a 50% efficacy then go ahead and have the chinese junk, even China's top disease control official has said the efficacy of the country's Covid vaccines is low. It has been tested to be 50.4% effective which is only 0.4% above the World Health Organization for regulatory approval. So why anyone would want that rubbish in their arm is beyond me

Do you have any source for that claim?

According to everything I can find, when people have suffered side effects from the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, they have been overwhelmingly of the mild variety. There have been a few cases (roughly 1 in 1000,000) of severe allergic reactions - which were promptly and successfully treated by the attending medical staff.

For example, according to CDC statistics:

    Out of those 21:

CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report

Sorry I forgot to add a link to the UK gov site showing the possible side effects.

I have had this vaccine and became ill for a few days after, my couson had this vaccine and became ill after having it. Many people have become ill after having this vaccine. To say it doesn't have side effects is incorrect, I am not saying anyone shouldn't have it but to say that it doesn't have any side effects is as said not true

I would pay to get the vaccine of my choice. I believe the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is only one shot? But I’d probably go for Pfizer as it’s been around longer and appears to be very effective with few if any side effects.

I wouldn’t want the Chinese or Russian vaccines, I just trust western medicines more ... both appear to be safe and work well.

I don't know who told you that the Pfizer vaccine has few side affects, that is total rubbish many people have become ill after having it

They clearly didn't note the panic at Shanghai's airport on Saturday when they found a bunch of airport staff infected.

China's nowhere near out of the woods, but Thailand is as safe as anywhere can be because of the strong lockdown. If that's the price that must be paid until the population is vaccinated in another 6-8 months then so be it.

It's a helluva lot better than some States in the US where there are no hospital beds left, and it's not like Thailand is mass testing either. We're safe simply because we're closed.

Who in Thailand would ask for that option, but a filthy rich conglomerate owner with a private jet to escape the carnage in country towns that would ensue if we drop our guard.

A strong lockdown or very little testing?

Contact tracing involves ‘everyone being tracked’

Thus: IF this suggestion is to work, it only works if ‘everyone' has an App on their phone which traces their movement.

What will happen - everyone deletes the app from their phone !!!

Ultimately, IF Thailand wants Tourists they have to be treated with far more respect than the current sanctimonious ‘we can’t have them doing that’ suggestions.

The current suggestion imply an upside-down mentality of the decision makers, that tourists are privileged to come to Thailand and not a mentality that Thailand is privilege to receive tourists.

A Pre-Flight Covid-19 test (with a negative result) for every visitor to Thailand should be sufficient.

If Thailand doesn’t trust that, test upon arrival should add an additional level of measure - from there on in the TM6 card and TM30 (reported by the hotels) should be sufficient to track any positive cases if necessary.

The objectives ’should’ be to keep the economy moving while maintaining the replication rate of the virus below R1.

Thailands continued attempts at zero domestic cases is killing its own economy.

The problem with that is that it only means the person doesn't have covid at the time of the test

The Covid-19 Negative Certificate seems difficult to obtain, particularly within the 72 hr time limit.

In UK people can get a Covid-19 test (I’ve had one), but, we are only contacted if the result is positive. Obviously we are then told to isolate and ‘track and trace’ is employed (everyone we’ve been in contact with also has to self isolate). With the regular tests we do not receive any notification or certificate if the result is negative.

I am struggling to find anyone who could provide a Covid-19 free certificate.

In the UK https://samedaydoctor.org seems as though they may issue a Covid-19 free certificate, but that would involve travelling into a potential 'hot-spot’ (London or Manchester) for a test when there are no cases in my area of the UK’s quiet countryside.

you should of got any email say your result was negative

@johnnynmonic Many major carriers never stopped service to and from BKK: Qatar, KLM, Lufthansa, EVA to name a few. Check FlightRadar24's airport specific arrival and departure info for BKK for confirmation.

only 3 international airlines have landed in the last 24hrs, qatar, Singapore airlines and Thai airways, with only 3 international flights leaving in the last 24hrs. So hardly a major service at the moment

Those requirements are only for repatriation flights if you can get on one. No other passenger flights are arriving from now until June 30th. Nobody knows what will be required after that if possible.

Thai airways are cancelling all flights for July so I would guess it is a good bet they are going to extend the closure of the airports
