  1. I have been reading my 5-6 news papers as i do every day. I read the last 400 words written by people that had gotten a death sentences many of those in Amreica. In God we trust , it says so on the dollar bill. But although it says so we trust our own judement better, some might call it a punishment, some as i may consider it a revange and a murder.

Thou shall not kill, but the bible says nothing about ending ones life by force? Still many nations execute poeple for example they hanged two 15 years old boys in Iran just for being gay !! I am not gay but i like most people regardless of theyr sexual prefenesses. Killing in my mind is revange and wrong not to mention cowardness, please USA stop selling guns, most people even get killed with their own guns. What is the point in beliveing in the higher powers words, when we do as we please anyway? (Killing someone many that may be innocent of their crime later, but DNA)This makes the judgealsystem a killer by it self. Just think how many have been put to death and now we see by DNA that it was not them, they were inniocent! any if not innocent, the should be kept in jail.

Please people think, jailing one person must be better that kill 10 inncents as DNA has showns us now. prison is punishment, killing is revange!! How many people have been cleared of their assumed crine by DNA, just before we killed the ?

  2. Thank you, the synthoms are only what i have mentioned, occational very runny right eye, occatinonal loss of balance and occational headache. She also gets very tired sometimes, but thats probably to be expected as she work very long hours and has 2 young kids and a husband, she has told me that often she only gets 4 hours sleep pr. night. I remember that i once lost balance and everything spinned around, i my case it was an ear infection. I will tell her about dr. Suthee, and again thank you very much for your advices.

  3. Although you may feel in a corner at the moment there are more options than you may imagine. I was in a simliar situation a couple of years back. You reach a point where to continue drinking is no longer an option. If you are drinking heavily then the first thing you should do is detox. Ideally this would be in a rehab facility where the staff are trained and expereinced in addiction. I haven't been to any of the facilities in Thailand, but I know there are here. If you can afford it, primary and then secondary care at a rehab in Thailand or back home will give you the best chance to lay the foundations that you build your recovery on. This is big business nowadays, it saves lives.

Another option is a hospital detox. Most Thai hospitals would admit you. If you are honest about your condition they will give you a bed, probably an IV and prescribed medication to ease the withdrawal, if you experience any symtoms. The important thing is to get yourself to an AA or NA meeting AS SOON as you are discharged. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that you can hadle it once you have detoxed. You can't. Past experience has taught you that.

You could take a temple cure at Thamkrabok. I've been there. It's harsh. Daily vomiting and steam baths. Only consider this if you want a tough military style cure.

Once, you have been sober a week it is important to go to meetings, listen, and learn the 12 steps. The first step is to surrender to your addiction. On reading your post it sounds like you have already begun to do this. Life in active addiction is a terrible mess of secrets and shame. You have a chance now to give yourself a break and begin to enjoy life.

    Good luck.

Thank you very much, but what and where is Thamkrabok, what does it cost and do they not give any medicine for withdrawals? what kind of place is it, do i get a bed and how long will i need to stay? what happens during the day, is there anything to pass time with, could i for example take my wireless laptop with me ? please tell me about this .

  4. A few years ago I was having a terrible time drinking. I tried and tried to get to an AA meeting but couldn't. I wasted much time trying to go and it was only when I phoned a person on the AA namelist that I'd got before that I got the help I needed. The person came round to my apartment and took me to a hospital.

  5. It is a hospital you need to go to, you won't find a neurologist outside of one.

In the Pattaya area your best options are either Bangkok Pattaya Hospital or Queen Sirikit Hospital in Sattahip. BPH is private and expensive, Queen Sirikit is government and very reasonable cost (still high quality) but long waits.

At BPH I would suggest either Dr. Songchai Chinwattanakul(male) or Dr. Darakul Pornsriniyom (female).

At Queen Sirikit just ask for a neurologist.

Thanks Sheryl, i hope i dont offend, but wanted to know how you know she would need a naurologist ?

    Kindly, Erik

  6. An incompetent article by an incompetent writer. All expats are sex deviates and here for only one thing.....insipid beyond belief. Go back to where you left Dan and dig a hole.....and do your research rather than putting all your apples in one barrel.

Please dont judge all farang by the action of few, i live in pattaya, and live a normal life with my wive, i never go to any bars and never rent a prostitute. Just because you do this please dont assume all farangs are the same ?

  7. Where have you gone in Pattaya? She needs to be seen by a neurologist.

I didn't try that yet, only been to hospitals, but i will try, thank you so very much.

She has been to a doctor in Siskat (her home town), convinced it would be cheaper, but i think i convinced her that money dont mean anything if your healt is at stake.

  8. Hi all i am writing this because my GF (only friend) .Has had water running fron her right eye for 2 years and also she sometime gets very disoriontated, feels like every thing is spinning and must stop to hold on to someting for few minutes, this happens mostly in the morning, but sometimes durin day ? i have tryed to contact doctoers her in pattaya but they just seem unaware of what to do , give pills and collect my money and all, but the probelm is still there. Does anyone know what i should do , please?

    kindly Erik

  9. You have a sincere wish to stop drinking. That is a good first step. There is hope.

It is too bad there are not many places here to go for rehab. Because you need to talk to a psychologist or a therapist of some kind to discover the underlying problem.

I am saying that drinking is a symptom of something else that is wrong.

You can go to AA if you have even 24 hours sober. But you should make a decision to stop for good first.

I am sure you will get good advice on this forum. Hang in there. It will get better.

Thank you very much for your response.

  11. Is there an atheists AA group anywhere in Thailand?

Any AA meeting is for an atheist or christian or Buddist or non-believer of any type

Just go and see. I had no god, no higher power or beliefs, sober for over 1 year now, thanks to AA.

Now I believe in the fellowship, my home group, have become the man I always wanted to be, not the A**hole I turned out to be!!

    Good Luck

    Thank you sir

  12. The only thing I would add to ThaiPauly's post is that if you are experiencing any sort of withdrawal symptoms from alcohol when you are not drinking, these may be the shakes, flu like symptoms, increased heart rate, etc.......Then you may want to consider checking yourself into a detox for 3-4 days. When you get out, go to an AA meeting right away, introduce yourself as a newbie and go from there. I do suggest getting a sponsor in AA and working the 12 steps. Good luck to you!

Thank you very much, but where can i check into dotox, i just spend one day at memorila, but pretty expencive. what did you do ?

  13. To many young Swiss Peaple, i know, get their big pensions for silly reasons, jusst because they are lazy to work, using a little back pain excuse for example. Some of them getting big pensions from Swisss goverment buying here condos, rent them out or doing other businesses. It's amazing!!! I'm Swiss my self (don't get a p[ension) and i know plenty of them here in Pataya. Crazy, isn't it?

Yes its crazy, i get pension also and seriously i dont think i deserve it, but it keeps me alive.

  14. I just want to wish the injured all the best, and i am sorry 2 got killed, i dont know if they use speed paper files that can verify the speed, or are if they obliged to confirm in some way. But as a matter of fact accidents with busses involved happen everywhere (also in Europe) In my view i think its too early to blame the driver for speeding. Speed kills i know that, as i drove trucks before and i saw many terrible accidents. (one night i had to drive a seriously injured girl, to a hospital, but she died later) the car driver, who hit her, just took off, scared i believe or drunk. In assence DONT DRINK AND DRIVE, and ofcause dont SPEED, even if beeing late can cost you your job. Again i am not sure about what system (if any ) they have here in Thailand. Many things need to improve both here and in the rest of the world.

  15. Balmer also told the Phuket Gazette he didn't know that the black material he was carrying was cocaine until the police told him. (- Phuket Gazette 2011-05-11)

Balmer, who had been in Thailand for four to five years, spoke some Thai and had a Thai wife in Nakhon Ratchasima, reportedly told police he was hired for about US$6,000 (Bt180,000) to smuggle the cocaine from Bolivia. (- The Nation 2011-05-12 )

Som Nam Na. There's not more to say.

I'm wondering about the classification of drugs. Do they really think that cocaine is less dangerous than heroin? :jap:

    Here's the link: http://www.thailawfo...ct-part2-2.html

Section 7 Narcotics shall be classified into 5 categories, viz :

    (1) category I consists of dangerous narcotics such as heroin;

    (2)category II consists of ordinary narcotics such as morphine, cocaine, codeine, medicinal opium;

    (3)category III consists of narcotics which are in the form of medicinal formula and contain narcotics of category II as ingredients in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Minister and published in the Government Gazette;

    (4)category IV consists of chemicals used for producing narcotics of category I or category II such as acetic anhydride, acetyl chloride ;

(5)category V consists of narcotics which are not included in category I to category IV such as marijuana, kratom plant.

Yes as a matter of fact both are dangerous, but cocain is somewhat easier to get out of. I have been addicted of both before and so i know, but then again i am just one man and i dont know much about others experiences.

  16. Hi , i write this to seek for someone that has had problems with alcohol, and drinking and might me able to do the 12step, drinking is really a problem for me and i really wish to stop, but i cant, i have had a sober periodes , the longest 2 years, but this time i cant stop and i am having pchysical, problems because of this ( as well as other, mental speculations) i dont feel like i want to go to AA meetings until later when i am sober, although that probably is the right way. I have a sincere wish to stop drinking and live like i did before when i had a long periodes sober. is there anyone that can advice me and perhaps help somehow ?

, this is serious , i think its a sick condition. I also think its genetic as i have family members that died from drinking. but i believe there is a solution, i have many friends in my home country, and some of them have been sober over 20 years. Anyhow it doesn't matter what it comes from, what matters for me is to do something about it.

Thanks for reading this , regards, ESK.

PS: i dont know how to place this mail in general subjects, but i am sure the webmaster will move it to the right place?

  17. Last I heard of the murder of Olof Palme in Sweden 12 people had confesed they shot him. Should they all be hanged? Think not! It is better to let 12 guilty go free than to hang one inocent.

Ruth Ellis in England was one sad case.

    Tiger

Thats righ, how many innocent people, in the countries where death sentence is allowed?. This reminds of the 2 youth 14 and 15 years , that were hung in Iran. Just for beeing gay !

  18. The arrest took place in the wake of close surveillance by the Thai police who have been monitoring Iranian, Nigerian and Pakistani drug smuggling syndicates after being informed they might use Thailand as a transit point before delivering the drugs to other Asian countries. (MCOT online news)

That seems logical seeing that Thailand is the hub of the entire World.

Haven't the RTP missed a trick or two here? Why not confiscate some of the packages and shoo the guy on to Malaysia after alerting their opposite number, making sure that the mule is still carrying enough for the death penalty. No costly trial and appeals, no prison cell, in fact no costs at all.

Under cover cops selling the confiscated Ice on the street with colleagues waiting to pounce to extract significant amounts from dope heads should cover everybody's school fees for a while. The plot is almost Thaksinesque.

That's what the Australian Federal Police do if they are aware of Australian citizens taking drugs out of the country destined for another. Take the Bali 5 who were arrested upon entering Indoneasia after being informed by Federal police. They have now been sentenced to death (Firing squad) Federal Police pat themselves on the back for an excellent investigation, no court costs or incarciration costs for Australia.

I am against death sentences, whatever the crime is. However i would choose death sentence ovedr 20 years in an asian jail. "Thou shall not kill" bloody murders, give them a chance to choose between life in prison or death.

  19. join a coffee club . how could you stay in a condo all day . try some night life know whay i mean . james hat yai

Well i dont stay in my home all day, but when as i dont drink, going to bars in the evening, is not much fun, though it can be for a snooker or two ;)

  20. Is there cake?

I am not interested unless there is cake.

Cake is a good foundation for a lasting friendship.

Ah in my opinion friendships start out of shared interests. Not always of course but its more common for 2 bar fly's to become friends then a bar fly and a tee to-taller. I made some friends during fishing and some acquaintances. Depends on the person but in general are people fishing easy to help others out and have some chit chat.

    I presume eating a cake?

  21. I wonder why so many grown (?) men on TV use the expression, hehe. Is that like a giggle?

    Cant a man giggle?

'he he he' is an evil insane cackle, not a giggle.

You want 'hee hee hee!' or even 'hee hee hee^' which is a bit more monty python.

Personally, I prefer 'shshshshshsh' which is more Muttley - or, when expressing frustration at taking a trip to Cambodia and not getting the visa you expected "suffrinsuffussuf"

Actually, probably better to say it with words.

    SC

So shshshshshsh is what? a laugher. wouldn't mind hearing you laughing, wonder how it sounds ? no offence ment.(in real does it matter how a man laughes?)
