Half of the people were arrested for being there not for the party, but for the art market which was happening at the same location. The new immigration chief wants to kill the local businesses completely. And yes, arrest happened closer to 9pm, so either the news outlets are misreporting or the police department is trying to cover up it's misdoings.

I just wanted to post this in case somebody else is looking for this. There are 2 ultrasound machines in the government hospital on Koh Phangan. This is the only hospital on Koh Phangan that has them.
We had an emergency in the middle of the night (appendicitis symptoms). Not only they did a basic scan, but they also arranged a cheap CT scan at a partner private hospital in the middle of the night. (probably cheaper than if we ordered it directly from that other private hospital).

I live on Koh Phangan and ordered some urgent stuff from China and decided to use Fedex.
Package was cleared by customs on Saturday at 8 am, but due to sluggishness of the Fedex/TNT network in Thailand it is due to be delivered only on Wednesday:

That is 4 days.
Kerry delivers from Bangkok in less than 24 hours.
Thai Post delivers from Bangkok in less than 48 hours.
But <deleted> Fedex/TNT is special. They need 4 days.

Ok, so the customs officer wanted a 15,000 THB bribe to let my package through. Greedy <deleted>.
I decided to abandon the package. Amazon agreed to refund me it fully.

Hello!
I purchased a lot of stuff from Amazon and the box got stuck in Bangkok customs upon arrival.
UPS is asking me to provide a TISI import license for this item: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FSZGP1Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Long story short, they also told me that this license is impossible to get for a private person and if I want them to remove this item from the box, I'll have to wait 30 days for customs officer permission (and I'll have to pay UPS for storage for these 30 days).
Has anyone been in this situation before? Why the hell do I need an import license for a pair of black lights in the first place? It's not like I ordered a batch of them for resale.
My other concern, what the hell is with these 30 days "waiting to abandon item" period?

The wife of a person I know disappeared on May 25 and her body was found in the jungle today.
From what I gathered, the autopsy is scheduled to happen not sooner than in 1 month.

Hello!
I have 3 phases coming into my business. However, some of the phases sometimes suffer from undervoltage which causes problems for my equipment.
Does anyone know of a device/transformer which converts 3 phases of different voltage into one reliable phase?
