Hi sorry i just seen this, i do have evidence of bank balance to show i have enough to support myself when im out there. I have a self assessment letter but it doesnt state how much i made over the year. Maybe i can get something from hmrc. 

Hi guys just wondering if anyone could help, Im from the u.k and in the process of getting thai passport (mother is thai). I know it is a <deleted> time and travel restrictions etc, but does anyone know of offshore companies or agencies in thailand or SEA I could get in touch with for when things get better. I am an electrician with experience with all offshore certs in date.

Ok thanks for that. I was looking at the visa requirments for u.k citizens and It says " a letter from the applicants employer" so does that mean I cannot get the visa as I am unemployed? I have all the other stuff.

Can I rent a condo without a visa? And just do the visa runs every 30 days. Or would you need proof of a visa before renting?

Thailand is certainly unique in having prostitutes marrying their customers; this doesn't oftn happen in the west, but that wasn't the question the OP asked.

What if the girl has a thai bf and a white knight comes along, would she leave the thai guy for him???

She is my friend but not good enough friend to go question what she is doing lol. I do know her and I know they havent been together long, she was with an ozzy guy before and has a kid with, then with someone from u.k. Im just using her story as an example. I know loads of thai guys let their long term gf do it and it just amazes me.

Why do the thai men let their girlfriends work in bar? I have met alot of woman that have bfs that work in gogo bars, I even met one girl whos boyfriend worked in same club. I understand the money situation, but surely the man must be hurting to see his girl go with different men most nights.
