Very few people - if any - have claimed that most EU member states' economies will not be negatively affected by 'no deal'.

Is this the old 'They need us, more than we need them' argument? Again, where's the evidence to support that view?

2021 is going  to be fun!  Turn on the news, pull up a chair and break out the popcorn! Watch as waves of protests and civil disorder sweep across the EU. Paris and Berlin will be in flames in summer 2021. The EU is about to collapse under the weight of its own absurdity!

  2. Make no mistake, Dominic's departure from Downing St is a huge loss for Great Britain. The man is an intellectual giant.  Dominic almost singlehandedly delivered the Leave vote, won an election by a landslide and then defeated an attempted Remainer coup. Generations to come will thank him for winning back our freedom after over 40 years of subjugation under the EU jackboot.

I've no doubt he'll be knighted and be given a seat in the Lords.

  3. I suggest studying some of the writings of Dominic Cummings. He has upset a lot of powerful people but is an exceptional political strategist and one of the greatest political thinkers of this century.

    Writing in early 2016..

"Extremists are on the rise in Europe and are being fuelled unfortunately by the Euro project and by the centralisation of power in Brussels. It is increasingly important that Britain offers an example of civilised, democratic, liberal self-government"

    In 2017...

"For me ... the worst-case scenario for Europe is a return to 1930s-style protectionism and extremism. And to me the EU project, the Eurozone project, are driving the growth of extremism. The single most important reason, really, for why I wanted to get out of the EU is I think that it will drain the poison of a lot of political debates ... UKIP and Nigel Farage would be finished. Once there's democratic control of immigration policy, immigration will go back to being a second- or third-order issue."

    I think he's nailed it.

  4. This seems an opportune time to remind ourselves of a particularly relevant passage from one of Churchill's great speeches, delivered on 4th June 1940....

"We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender"

UK hopes dwindling for post-Brexit trade deals with EU and US

Many die hard Brexiteers say that if we don't have deals we will trade on WTO terms; as if that was some sort of panacea.

Anyone who subscribes to that view should read What would ‘trading on WTO terms’ mean for the UK? It's a lengthy document; which goes to show that trading on WTO terms is not as simple as Brexiteers make out!

Blah, blah, blah.....  Whinge, dribble, snivel...

Brexit is not, and never has been, primarily about the economy. Its about freedom, sovereignty and self-determination. If the country takes an economic hit then so be it. We'll come through. We have faced far greater difficulties in the past. Frankly there are some things you just can't put a price on!

As you missed it, I'll repeat my addendum.

If post Brexit UK is going to be the paradise you and your mates claim, surely instead of not wanting to be 'stuck' here you should all be rushing back!

When will you provide your version of the share of the vote last December?

Your posts, and those of other whinging <deleted>, are simply cringe-inducing.  You lost. Move on.

If you can't accept democracy you still have four months to move to an EU country and take residence there.

As I said before they will negoitate to the 11th hour if needs be and a deal will be done.

It WON'T destroy the fishing industry. They will do what I have to in my job, they will source elsewhere.

How has it been a scam ?

Barnier himself has said No Deal will destroy the EU fishing industry. Ask him.

The EU systematically set out to concentrate manufacturing in France and Germany to the detriment of UK.  Compare car production in UK, France and Germany in 1973 and now!
