Have no idea what Iraq has got to do with the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and the subsequent statements and vote issued by Thailand, Thailand was not forced into anything, over 30 countries abstained, the false narrative by Putin and the Kremlin (aka lies) is well documented.

"Ministry spokesman Tanee Sangrat on Thursday said the Kingdom voted in support of a UN resolution condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and demanding Moscow withdraw its forces immediately.

The statement said Thailand was “gravely concerned” at worsening hostilities leading to loss of innocent lives, property and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

It said the situation of refugees and those fleeing fighting was particularly worrying and pledged Thailand would “do our utmost in addressing humanitarian needs of the affected citizens, directly and in partnership with like-minded international organizations”.

It has to do with the worldwide support the first one gathered for its unlawful invasion, while the second equally unlawful invasion, is being condemned by the vast majority of the world. Both invasions happened under false pretenses.
Thailand waited to see where the sentiment of the majority stayed, then choose a side to stay with the majority.
Losing Russian business VS losing international business
    The choice is clear.

    This is just one example……….

“What do you suggest I should be doing then? Assault Russian holidaymakers in Pattaya? Just to show em who's boss?

Would that make you feel better?”

5 star drama queen material. I can provide more?

You see what you want to see, that's fine.
We all have our opinions, but calling someone selfish, heartless, Russian apologist, unhinged etc for daring to point out (unpopular) historical facts, is not right. Wouldn't you agree?

Try looking at some of the comments you’ve made above, drama queens lol. I nominate you for an Oscar? Ta taaa

To be fair, he never once said that Putin's reasoning and actions were justified. He merely called for a deeper look into the history of the conflict. Some people here think that if you don't have the same reactions as they have, then you must be "against" them and started attacking him on a personal level, calling him Russian apologist and whatnot. That's the black-white mentality he was referring to I think.

Correct Transam ,its about God,i just cannot understand how with so much knowledge in the world about the origins of man and how planets are formed ,how anyone can believe that God created it and that his son was born on our planet out of all the billions in the univereses.

mind you it must be great to believe that when you die you will see all your loved ones ,.but then as i have been married a few times and have a mother and a stepmother ,it might get a bit crowded at our eventual reunion ..

Hilarious! ???????????? ...the first paragraph, I mean....

Some people will attack you for no reason, but when asked for a logical explanation, will hide behind excuses.

A popular excuse is "I'm not interested in this debate".

.... intellectual honesty, and honesty in general, seems to be out of fashion these days ????

Yep, very childish. I think, reason behind, is that it makes him feel better about his ignorance.
Is the picture of the moon and the actual moon the same? Doh...

Agree on everything you said so clearly.

However,  "more" and " less" exist, as far as i can see.

We are "trapped " in a physical body after all.

...but if you're describing a moment of enlightenment, when the false ego is completely forgotten, yep, i guess that's the feeling.

I think it's the same mechanism as with enlightenment.

Various times in this thread, the ancient symbol of Tao has been debated.

Today i came across a quote from a master which I deeply revere,  R.Steiner.

Hope it's of some interest for someone.

    "

On TAO……quotation from Rudolf Steiner in a lecture 1905

“The TAO gives expression to the highest to which a large part of humanity can look up and has revered for thousands of years. It is something which was considered as a distant goal of the world and of humanity, the highest element which man carried as a germ within him, which would one day develop into a fully opened blossom from the innermost depths of human nature. TAO signifies both a deeply hidden basis of the soul and at the same time an exalted future.

Not only the name TAO, but the very thought of TAO filled those who had insight into it with timid reverence. The TAO spirituality is based on the principle of development, and it proclaims: That by which I am surrounded today is but a stage which has to be overcome. I must clearly see that this development in which I am involved has a Goal, that I am going to work towards an exalted Goal and that within me there lives a power which spurs me on to come to the Great Goal of TAO.

If I can feel this great force within me and if I can feel that all creatures are aiming towards this great goal, then this force becomes the guiding force rushing towards me in the wind, sounding out of the stones, flashing in the lightning, rumbling in the thunder, sending its light to me from the sun. In the plant it is revealed as the force of growth, in the animal as feeling and perception.

It is the force which will continually create form after form for every exalted aim, through which I know myself to be at one with the whole of nature, which flows out from me and into me with every breath I take, the symbol for the highest evolving spirit which I experience as life itself. I feel this force as TAO."

    Beautifully put.

Well i am not bored , i started this thread thinking that it may run to a few pages ,and that the original inventors of God ,the Jews would fight it out with ,the Christians , and the Muslims ,who we must say took a hell of a time to latch onto him , But they really do seem to have taken lots of bits out of both Christianity and Judaism and made it into Islam ,  dont you agree ? i mean you only have to look at the Nuns and you see where they got the Burkha from .

    anyway carry on boys .

"Material possessions are not the source of true happiness"

This make me think of the, usually not well loaded people, who claim that money does not bring happiness,

it makes them feel better in their not always easy life.

What a stupid thing to say. For all you know, he has plenty of money but realized there are more important things in life.
