  1. OP, if you did manage to import this bike, how exactly do you control it? from your pic there is no handlebar controls! ok, its hardtail, but no rear brake? and has the engine got a governer flap on it? same as a Kubuta tractor? because i see no throttle,, I could go on but just bring a pic of your dream, its cheaper,,

As you asked so politely.. the controls are internal. ie internal throttle and twist clutch. The brakes are linked, both front and rear and operated by the rear brake pedal.. The whole idea of this bike was to achieve a clean look with as little unnessacery tat as possible. It's staying in the US and that's it. Thanks everyone for your input.

  2. HI

Look a bit like exile to me, right or wrong??

Yes It was all from Exile apart from the motor which was from Accurate engineering. It came in kit form unpainted and I put it together, which was a story in itself. I then took it apart and sent it to paint and then put it back together again.Which was another heap of fun.

  3. Gentlemen, thank you for your replies, point taken about using the search feature. I think my bike will stay at home, it cost me rather a lot both in cash and time to build and I don't want to risk losing it or having it damaged. Thanks for the nice comments about the bike its much appreciated.

Looks like I'll be riding a Vespa when I arrive in Thailand then *-))

    Thanks again.

  4. Hi, I intend to bring something like this with me when I move to Thailand later this year. As its a one off construction am I going to have problems registering it and how much tax am I liable to have to pay? Should I bring it in kit form and put it together there?? any advice gratefully received.

  5. Go to India and eat a real curry then you'll never want to even hear about a "UK Curry"

I can only assume you have never actually done it otherwise i doubt you would have posted that ??? :o

Spent 4 months in India and now I wouldn't touch a "UK curry" It's not what Indians eat at all.

You raise an interesting point to us ruby enthusiasts, Indian food varies wildly in type and style throughout the country, I like it all,as I do Sri lankan food also . British curry house food can be excellent too.. just different to what you may eat in India. In conclusion if it's good it's good, what's not to like?

  6. I was recently back home in the UK and discovered just how much I miss a good Indian Ruby Murry on a weekend.

I have tried 3 or 4 in bangkok and found nothing worth eating. The best of the bad bunch was Mrs Bilbars.

So if any Brits can reccomend a curry house, I'll let you crack your finger through the middle of the popadoms.

Have found only authentic rather than UK style.. The one I knew has closed though..

I gotta say that the food I had at The Rang Mahal recently was absolutely superb, not cheap but great. I believe that they do a very good value lunch buffet on a sunday.

  7. At least George Graham won you a trophy

He can keep it too :D

I'd rather we won trophies our way - not his :o

Couldn't agree more , I was at the 99 league cup final and iit was a dreadful game, masterminded by the evil Gooner. Even after we won the atmosphere was totally flat and nothing like the previous cup wins. This season I think we'll gell eventually and finish about sixth.

We do seem to be missing Michael carrick though ..

    COME ON YOU SPURS
