So Thailand are no longer sitting on the fence, they have chosen Russia to support. Plus of course all those rich Russian tourists and now Russian draft dodgers. All down to money and choosing what they think is the winning side ( Same with Japan in WW2 )
The Thai flag should be yellow with white feathers.
Nonsense, they've invited Biden to APEC too but he can't be arsed, has a wedding to go to.

Forget the few rich tourists. That will never happen. What the country needs is high visitor numbers of all categories: retirees, expats, remote workers and, yes, tourists of all types. That means making the place accessible and affordable for the many. Maybe start by binning all visas for a year or two and controlling entry by longer term visa exemptions?

Easily forgeable. Need a Bar or QR code linked to the vaccination.
There is no bar code or QR on the yellow fever certificate..... They work ok. Same with other innoculation cards, cholera, meningitis, typhoid etc too. Some, eg. Flu don't even need a certificate. Keep it simple.

Try resetting the pc through the 'recovery' setting. Worked for me but make sure all essential stuff is backed up first.

I own a house in UK and rent a serviced apartment in Chiang Mai. For 10 years, until Covid struck, I would spend the winter in Thailand (6 months with a break in UK for Xmas). I did consider buying in Thailand but am now glad I rent, given the unpredictable political situation and Covid restrictions. I returned to UK in April, last year, naïvely expecting to return to Chiang Mai back in August. I am still in UK and paying rent in CM but it is relatively cheap and still gives me an easy option of walking away if things deteriorate further.

Unfortunately yes, many cases of foreigners becoming a burden in Thailand, especially (but not only) as regards hospital bills
No, the details have not been released and probably not yet even worked out.
If history is any guide they will be very convoluted, poorly explained, subject to varying interpretations and very hard to implement. A similar scheme to allow medical tourism to resume that was supposed to be in effect in July is still largely dysfunctional.
Surely, all they need to do is enforce up-front payment of hospital bills. In a US hospital, as I recall, the first question is always 'who will pay?'

Either way , no tourist in their right mind is going to spend 14 days in thai quarantine , take 2 weeks on a beach and then isolate for 14 days in return.
These officials truly must be the most idiotic and unrealistic people of the face of the entire planet
I wouldn't be so sure. If you had asked me in March, if anyone would take up the over-priced ASQ, limited flights, health check and Covid test, just to return to Thailand, I would have said 'no way'. But look what has happened, with people flocking to pay through the nose to get back in. What incentive do the government have to introduce sensible return measures? As long as mugs will pay, they'll keep thinking of more outrageous ways to fleece visitors. Social distancing, hand washing and masks is the way to go. It worked back in March and could work again, if properly enforced.

Non-immigrant O visa in the UK
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Yes. Dead easy, apply online and you can get a single or multi entry, non imm O visa. No need to declare whether it is for tourism purposes.
