Cardiologist recommandation in Bangkok
We went for Vejthani package - bit over 9000 THB, including doctor fees. They did new ECG, Holter 24 hour, chest X-ray, Echo, some blood work. For me it seems quite a good deal? In contrast with Sukumvit Hospital the doctor recommended to wait with the medicine, as the PVC burden is under 1 %. Despite the hospital is bit far away from the city center, my wife liked it - competent doctor, who did not seem to be rushing explanations, he was very thorough. The only downside? The hospital is located near a big shopping mall and it was my turn to get some arrhythmias...

Cardiologist recommandation in Bangkok
Much appreciated. As for tests, she only did ECG at Sukhumvit Hospital. What you describe, in terms of further testing, sounds good, but being at Bumrungrad, I am afraid the costs would go further up. I think we will try contact both Bumrungrad and Chula (link does not work)

Cardiologist recommandation in Bangkok
Hi there I've searched the forum and found out two names, Dr.Koonlawee Nademanee og Dr.Visuit Vivekaphirat. It's for my wife. She has symptomatic PVC's - shortness of breath mostly.Something new, she was at Sukhumvit Hospital the other day. The reason, why I ask about these two cardiologists, is that I would like an second opinion, not because we doubt Sukhumvit Hospital doctor's assessment, but my wife told me they discussed treatment options and so on. When they talked about medicin, they agreed (as far as I understood from my wife), that she should try Flecainide.I said to her not to take it, until we have a new doctors opinion. From for short search on Dr.Google : this medicin is to be tried only after other medications have failed and, here in Denmark (I reside in Denmark), it normally requires admission, when to start on this medicin. I don't have too much experience with doctors in Thailand, but am I overreacting, if I say thai docs too often and too soon recommend (strong) medicin? I, myself, work in the health system (mental health) and I remember, when one not so closed family member of my wife, went to psychiatrist. From my opionion it was clear BPD (borderline personality disorder) and the poor girl was put on antipsychotics (not that this is unsual) and benzodiazepines, already from the first meeting, rather than emphasize on therapy - of course, this single episode does not mean that this is typical for thai doctors, but you get my point. So... I don't expect any different assessment from the initial one, done at Sukhumvit Hospital, but a new take on medicin - and need for it at this moment. And what fee should we expect for a consultation with one of these two doctors? If it is about few thousands THB, there is no issues - at least we get to talk with top cardiologists (as mentioned on aseannow), but if it will be around 10 k, then perhaps no need to spend money on something, we already know. I think they will perform new ECG..or can use that one from Sukhumvit.

Government hospital cardiac surgery bill
Its me, who does not have a timeline. Her medical history : She receives dialysis 3 x week. She has diabetes as well. And high blood pressure : 2 weeks ago she had above 280 Her condition was bad the last weeks : not eating, poor sleeping, very fatigued Planned as usual on Monday and, as her state worsened after dialysis, they discovered MI and got bypass as of this morning. Now back on ICU. Shes old, perhaps time to let go, but who are we to decide. Maybe the 3 × weekly dialysis takes its toll now...

It's a bypass surgery. Or it was. Because it has been done. Not paid yet.

Government hospital cardiac surgery bill
Me again Can they really charge upfront, for skipping the queue? Isn't acute myocardial ischemia an medical emergency?

Government hospital cardiac surgery bill
Does anyone knows what qualifies as "expediency"? I mean...If they can hold her alive with medicine for 2-3 or more days, will the price be cheaper...I know, dumb question. I just don't get it...I read on reddit as well...It should cover major surgery as well, the 30 baht scheme.

Government hospital cardiac surgery bill
I am sure, I am not the first one to ask. One friend's mother in law (thai citizen) has suffered an acute miocardial ischemia. Now they are struggling to find around 70-80.000 THB to cover operation. Doctor said, the decision must be made within hours. Don't they have 30 baht scheme for thai nationals? Isn't this supposed to be free or at least lower than 70-80 k? Even with private room, at government hospital, it cannot be that much?! From what I know, the old lady is registered in other city, than Bangkok, where she actually lives. Regards.

DHL sending docs to Thailand from EU
I found an other topic regarding this matter, but need to be clarified... I need to send a document to Thailand, with DHL.Does the receiver ( private individual) need to register to Thai Customs or this applies only when sending other stuff, like food, medicines? I have sent before a passport to Thailand, but did not get this message, about registering. It was in 2019. From Denmark.
