  1. Let me get this straight. You need, first, to register on the thailandpass, which will be online on November 1st. And it will take few days to get approval? Correct? I know thais who booked flights for November 1st... And still you cannot pick your hotel in Bangkok, as not many have SHA+...Only AQ mafia... Anyways, why does it need to take few days? Spain's travel app gives you QR code right away, they scan the code at arrival. Why the <deleted> they need to recheck the papers, once landed in Bangkok? Just scan the damn code... OK... Lets get back to those thais who booked flights.... What a cluster<deleted>... It seems thais are quite proud of this redtape...Oh, look how smart, we are...
  2. Still, in Bangkok, no other hotels than AQ hotel are in the programme. I have only seen Swissotel in Ratchada and Berkley in Pratunam, which are SHA + They struck a very profitable deal, AQ hotel managers...They charge now at least 3000 - 4000 THB per night and, provided that more tourists/thai citizens will come, they will have higher occupancy than under the Sandbox/Quarantine hotels.
  3. There is no clarity regarding SHA + hotels in Bangkok. We must assume that there will be more arrivals and do the hotels/cooperating hospitals have the staffing&testing capacity to cope with larger numbers of tourists? If current ASQ hotels are the only to be booked, I have a feeling that they will put prices up for 1 night and many will have to book 1 extra night, as I don't see how they can manage many PCR tests. I keep an eye on The Bazaar Hotel. Last year, 15 days for thai, 32500 THB This year, 7 days, 21500 THB (<deleted>) From 1 Nov, 1 night, most likely, 7000 THB. I booked 1 night at Anantara in Bangkok, 21th December, little over 2200 THB, with breakfast. They are not SHA+ though...Waiting to see whether I need to cancel. And ATK after 6-7 days is totally irrelevant, for what? If you get infected, it's not because you had it before, it will most likely be because of local contact. Not even Greece or Spain, heavily dependent on tourism, treat travellers with such disrespect and see them literraly as ATM's. I have not read any news about Spain Travel Agency or whatever commenting about foreigners, quality tourists, bringing zilions of euros.
  4. Don't see any SHA+ hotels in Bangkok. If current AQ hotels have to be used, they made a good deal, provided that tourists will come in higher numbers. They still will have the rooms booked and could even change the one night rate to be higher than what it would be, if booked for 7 days I expect to see 5000 THB for 1 night package for low rate hotels. And, the big question for returning thais, if positive/close contact, where will they send you?
  5. + 1 Used it many times, including buffet at Peninsula or Kisso Japanese Restaurant(at Westin Hotel, across Terminal 21) Got some good deals
  6. MICE, CCSA, TCEB. The art of doing nothing. So many acronyms. So many government agencies. What the <deleted> is MICE anyway?
  7. When I came to Denmark, under last years corona, I landed in CPH, I had to get a nose swab. It was well organized, swift and straightforward. It took around 30 min, only for the test and result. We talk about a rather small airport, limited air travel and danes, which are good to organize. Now, lets imagine Suvarnabhumi, 3 × fully booked 777 landing. And thais.
  8. To consider something, one needs expertise, knowledge and some sort of brain cells. This guy is clueless.
  9. Winter is coming. But no worries, white walkers stay at home, they have been defeated by Prayuth & co
  10. Ordinary thai has no <deleted> clue whatsoever about outside world. Foreigners are at risk, not thais.
  11. Free? Same in Denmark, on loan, of course, the madness of testing 250 k every day in Denmark will cost future generations...But at least you have oil.
  12. I am pretty sure, there was the same requirement to entry Azores(Portugal), last year. Test on arrival, then wait for the result, I don't remember exactly where, at some airport facility or hotel....But pretty sure was the same procedure. But it was not the tourist who payed.
  13. If I remember correctly, the Azores did the same last year, test on arrival and quarantine until result, but at their expenses, not tourists? Anyways, I expect thais live up to their reputation and we shall see ASQ 1 night starting from 10000 THB...That would be nice. And...I would like to ask TAT to stop dreaming about so called high quality tourism.Never gonna happend, because Thailand is a 3rd world country, endemic corruption, double pricing. They don't have the stamina for being a high quality destination.
  14. And Portugal, with the highest vaccination rate in the EU and incidence rate 87(which is very low), not on the list.
  15. And central european countries(Slovakia, Slovenia) plus Lithuania, with very high incidence rate are. The list is made by amateurs. Thais, including journalists, have no knowledge about the outside world.
  16. Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia..Very high incidence rate, above 500 per 100 K The list is made up by amateurs.
  17. How about Tanzania or North Korea, with next to zero cases????
  18. It's the incidence, that matters. Germany has a lower incidence than Singapore. Only "safe" country is China, but they are not allowed to travel.
  19. Germany has a lower incidence per 100 k than UK, Singapore or USA. If Singapore would have been in the EU, they would have been categorised as high risk. Incidence must be under 150 in the EU, some countries had it under 90 before summer travel, to be considered green. UK...We don't care about them in the EU.Sorry.
