Have read your post once again. What I can specify, impossible to get id and blue book from my owner. Staying in hotel will require 20 days of booking now, as it is stated on immigration list of documents for 30 days of extension. I did ,y tourist visa extension in March, one night booking was enough to prove my adress, but no wit is not working out ))
Quickly find a smaller place where the owner is there and pay them to go to immigration with you.
The immigration will notmake them wait in the COVID queue to register you at their property. Though ou would have to wait in line like everyone else.

Only 10 people, you should thank yourself luckly. Places like Nong Khai, Chaing Rai, Chiang Mai, Ranong and Phuket will be flooded.
There were 50 plus people in front of me in Nong Khai yesterday 98% of them were all from Laos.

Today I got my Non O ME extended in Nong Khai for 60 days after being refused in Chumphon.
My wife is from Nong Khai so we came back here to try.
Stange how the Nong Khai immigration even though overrun with people, we so nice and helpful to everyone today.
In Chumphon they did not even look at my documentation, would give me no reason. They were totally unhelpful.
I find this attitude very strange.

I want to know the answer to this question also. I purchased a policy from Digital Nomads who clearly said that COVID was not covered for countries that had and FCO travel ban. I checked and Thailand was exempt from a travel ban. Once purchased they said they would not cover COVID-19 period. I then had to get a refund. I noticed another Thai company Luma Health Insurance they claim they cover COVID 19 but they also expect you to pay all the hospital expenses and make a claim from them on returning to your home country.
Like I would be wanting to buy insurance where you are expected to pay everything first. I am trying to find a company that will jump in and cover me if I get sick.

My experience with Chumphon is very limited. I have been here for 19 years and this year is the only year I have ever applied for an extension of stay in country. I have no other office in country to compare them with but I would describe them as unhelpful.
I spoke to them at the end of August and they said at that time that it didn't matter whether I got a letter from the embassy or medical evidence the answer would be no extension.
I now have the embassy letter and because of my interactions with Chumphon to date I am considering applying elsewhere if that is possible. The key thing I do not know is whether MTT, for example, would require evidence of address.
I have been here for 25 years, but in many provinces over the years. Chumphon IO appear to be the most unhelpful so far. From what I understand you have to apply at the office your addess in Thailand is registered at. If you are applying in Bangkok you should have a Bangkok addess. I am going to move back to my wifes province this weekend and register myself and try to get an extension there. I am tired of travelling 40km each time to the Chumporn office to get told no. They are very unhelpful in Chumphon IO for some reason. They seemed more interested in trying to sell me some property than helping me with my visa extension. They have a very strange attitude. I hope you have better luck than I did. You may be better off trying to move to another province and trying there. I know it is short notice, but it is what I am going to have to try.

I am interested in an answer to your questions too. Chumphon is my local office.
I was thinking of trying MTT as the embassy letter appears to be accepted there but I am unsure whether MTT require evidence of a Bangkok address.
So are you finding the same as me at the Chumphon office? They have been anything but helpful in anyway, would not even give me a copy of a document with the requirements. In Thai or in English, either would have been fine.I have the same question about MTT I am 50-50 if I should go to Bangkok in the morning ornot.

Yes, i thought 12 months too. You're right of course, 400k for a couple of months is a lot easier. Using the embassy letters should give him enough time to help.
I just went online my bank only gives a 6 month statement unless you go to the bank and request one. I know they will then have to contact the head office and wait for it to be sent. Many Thai banks are like this.
So expecting to get a statement in time will also be a problem for many.

You can use the embassy letter to springboard to a long term visa based on marriage. This should give you enough time to leave the cash in the bank, or you can show 40k monthly deposits from abroad into a thai bank account (your account).
A year ago I was strictly using my ATM from Singapoe to get cash. I am unsure if I deposited enough of it then in my Thai banks. There was a 4 month period this year with zero deposits. The last 3 months over 200k directly into my bank. Money seems to come and go, but I spend a lot more than 40k a month here.
Where should I try? Chumphon I rent a place by the sea, but the immigration here are unhelpful. Should Igo and try MTT in Bangkok or somewhere else?

You should be able to get an embassy letter for another 30 days. Have you used the 60 day extension?
No I have not used the 60 day extension I have a Non O ME visa the Chumphon Immiigration refused me on not having 400k in the bank. They seem to have no interest in foreigners here. My wife is from Nong Khai my yellow book and pink card were issued in Nong Khai. Should I try Bangkok or Nong Khai may be?
I just applied for an embassy letter.

So there is no news for those of us holding Non O ME visas. It looks like we are being forced out or are going to have to do a 100,000 Baht visa run lol!
I keep seeing people mentioning, what is the problem for people to return home. Well for me the problem is I am 46 years old have lived in Thailand for 25 years. So I have lived here for longer than I did in the UK. In the UK I would have no valid driving license, so no way of driving to self quarrantine. I can not remember my national insurance number. I do not own a house there. I do not want to go and stay with my parents as they are old. If I did have COVID it would kill them. So my option is only really to go to Turkey and stay there for a while. It is not financially viable to be doing a 100,000 Baht visa run every 12 weeks.
I do not work here, but have an offshore business elewhere, that also has COVID restrictions.
So I guess with no news. I am going to have to pack my bags and fly to Bangkok tonight or tomorrow.
The only news I am seeing is that Thailand is going to be like this until Nov 2021. The cabinet just approved the new visa until then. This indicates that mandtory quarrantine will not be lifted until then.
If anyone sees any news, please contact me to let me know thank you.

Nonsense. Lufthansa flies 4x per week ex BKK and their flight leaves every single time. None of these flights are being cancelled.
Stop looking at the airport website, their data has been incorrect for months already.
Thank you good to know. I hope you are correct. Are you 100% sure on that?

What flights are cancelled? Where do you need to go?
Trying to get to Turkey but have to transit in Europe. Lufthansa and Swiss Air have been regularly cancelled.

but most of those flights were cancelled months ago. if you book any flight scheduled for the next week, it will almost certainly fly.
Not true flights to Frankfurt with Lufthansa have been bookable all month. They have not left once.

I see some people saying just get an extension. This is not the issue, the issue is those of us who have been refused extensions and are expected to leave with no way of being able to get on a flight, because flights are cancelled. If it was as simple as paying 1900 Baht I would have no problem.

For anyone who is sitting there saying it is easy to leave, please check out.
https://suvarnabhumi.airportthai.co.th/flights
I have been watching this daily since the start of the month,99% of the scheduled flights you can book tickets for have not left one time this month.
Yes it is easy to buy a ticket, but 99% of all flights are cancelled daily. I do not think airlines have planes coming here, so they are not going to send an empty plane. Most airlines do not plan to become operational until at least next month. Expecting anyone to leave right now makes no sense.

Once upon a time British citizens could walk into the embassy and get anything done in a day or two. Now we are just a name and a number that has to make an appointment more than a week in advance to get anything done. The only exception appears to be unless you are in jail or dead already. Has anyone else tried getting a letter from the British emvassy?

I don't see it not being extended.
No borders are open.
Limited flights. People cannot just jump on a plane and fly home easily.
I hope so, not one of the three fliights I could jump on have left the country in the last 2 weeks. They are scheduled but are cancelled daily. I see flights actually leaving for Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and Oman. all useless destinations to me.

I am stressed to hell right now. Chumphon immigration refused to issue me an extension on my Non O ME Marriage visa which is valid until next year. They said I can leave the country and come back and spend 14 days in ASQ. i am consdering travelling to Bangkok later this week and maybe go to MTT and ask them there.
I have been trying to book a flight but, for 14 days in a row the flights have all been cancelled.
How do they expect people to leave when there are no flights?
What will be my chances of getting a 60 day extension at MTT?
I do not have the 400k in the bank here, even though I transfer around 60-75k a month here.
I saw someone mentioning the possibility of an ammnesty extension. I hope this is more than a rumour, after all there are no reliable outgoing flights. Most airlines are not flying until October, and even those flights are not guaranteed yet. Common sense says they should extend the ammnesty, but I will never take a gamble on common sense here.

You are quick to judge the visa choices of others. There are many legitimate reasons why some people prefer the Non O ME visa. When you have been here more than 20 years you might understand.

Somebody who entered with a non-immigrant visa can apply for the same extensions, this is not limited to tourists.
The headline is of course very misleading
Not true I have a non immigrant visa and was told unless I have had 400k sitting in the bank for months I must leave. But I can come straight back and stay in the overpriced ASQ for 14 days.
So I am being forced to leave after 25 years of being here. Seeing as all the nearby countries are closed, paying 35k for a return flight and then an extra 40-60k for ASQ to get the priviledge of staying for 10 weeks I am leaving. Bye bye and no money will be coming here from me while I am not here.

You have a ME marriage. Have you used your 60 day extension to visit family?
I have never had an extension. When i went to the Chumphon Immigration office last week. They informed me they can not issue an extension and I have to leave the country by the 26 September.

A 30 day extension can be applied for prior September 26th and will start on the 27th. Immigration has already announced that.
I have a non O multiple entry. I was told unless I had 400k in the bank for the last two months. I can not apply for any extension and must leave the country by the 26th Sept. They did say no problem just go and come back and stay in Thailands cheap ASQ for two weeks out of every 12 weeks. So after 25 years of taking care of Thai people. I am being forced out of the country. I will not leave and come back I will leave and go and sit somewhere for a long time and think about it. Thailands loss, I am angry and saddened by their attitudes.

Thai Beaches Won’t Reopen Fully Until Vaccines Become Available
in Thailand News
Posted
The companies making the vaccine are immune from prosecution and future lawsuits regarding any side effects. Sorry I am kind of not in a very trusting mind knowing these facts. Given the way COVID has been brainwashed into everyone by the WHO and the media.
One has to ask why the common cold that kills 600-700,000 people annually once it has mutated into pneumonia has never had the same volume of media coverage. This time we are at around 1 million deaths which really does not warrant destroying the global economy, and revoking everyones freedom.
The Spanish flu that infected 500 million people in 1918 and killed up to 50 million, this is not even close to that, so I am not sure how they can call it a pandemic.
