  1. I received this:

    I am very sorry for getting back to you late as I was waiting for an official announcement from the Thai Government / Royal Thai Embassy.
    I have just received the updates from the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington D.C. about the visa approval for Non-Thai nationals to enter Thailand. Due to a high number of infection rates in the US, the APEC card holders and the applicants who are currently in the USA and wish to obtain Special Tourist Visa (STV) do not fail under the categories that could enter Thailand at the moment. However, things might change in a couple months if the situation in the US improves. There is only one type of general visa that passed the approval and can apply for the US applicants at the moment which is O-A / O-X Visa (Long Stay Visa for applicants aged 50 years and over). Please find the details and requirements of O-A / O-X visa in this link.

    Don't be so harsh. As you have noticed Thailand have tried to weigh pros and cons and everyone is affected by the back and forth considerations, Thailand Elite included. Even if it takes time and not everything is crystal clear, their members are on standby, opposite to many other categories who deem that they have the same, if not better, right to be included. The latest members will be at the end of the queue, for sure, but at least there is a queue, even though, if by the time they reach the kingdom, borders will be (more) open.

    Im not being harsh, Im speaking facts, I paid over 30,000 use to enter Thailand, once approved and money was exchanged, I should have been allowed to enter the country, the rules changed in August, only allowing members with affixed visa, that was not what in my terms when I paid. Thanks

  3. Has anyone in the USA, applied and been accepted for Thailand Elite Members Quarantine (TEMQ) Program? Has anyone used this program been issued a COE? If so please advise. Its been almost a month now? Has anyone had their visa affix in the USA?

    I have received no word from Thai-elite that new members can enter yet, seems like all the focus on the special visa. The elite visa is useless if you are outside the country.

  4. is there a 250 a month quota for elite visa holders? if true, that crazy with the amount of money that was spent to secure that visa, i have the visa but not affix yet, so this is ridiculous to me, Im beginning to look at other options,

    Mexico,, Columbia, the Caribbean , i had enough of this back and forth daily nonsense of opening Thailand.

  5. I was advised even if you get the visa from abroad, which is not possible, Thai Elite Visa stated they are not allowing new members in regardless,  so below  is the direct quote, so for now new members, this visa is useless if you are outside Thailand, I recommend applying for the visa, but do not pay!

    "However, we would like to inform you about the priority of this TEMQ program. According to the proposal that we have presented to the government, we must first bring back our members who have been stuck outside of Thailand since the outbreak of the pandemic. Therefore, new members who have not had Thailand Elite Visa affixed in the passport yet will need to be put on hold for further allowance. However, our management team is doing their best to bring back all of our members regardless of Elite visa possession."

    In response to your email, we are deeply sorry to inform you that Thailand Elite Members who are now allowed to come back to Thailand are those who already affixed Thailand Elite Visa in the passport.

    I don't see any reason to buy the Elite Visa now, I hope I can get a refund, I paid back in June and still can't enter.

  7. I have a elite visa, hopefully I will be able to travel to Thailand soon. For USA visa holder who has entered Thailand during the Pandemic, how and where do you get;

    A Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID -19 is not detected, using RT-PCR test, issued no more than 72 hours before departure and a ‘Fit to Fly Health Certificate’ issued no more than 72 hours before departure.

    Where in the USA can you obtain these documents? any information will be helpful. Thanks
