  1. got to be floating on a beautiful CR Sky background. I don't know how to do it either. The babbie's yed has to be perfectly formed and resemble the profile of a bald human Skull. wink.png

maybe someone tripping on life's rich Tapestry can put it together for us in all its magnificence

  2. So there I was, sitting on my throne in my office while listening to my favourite song of all time (link below) when I happened to look out of the window and I saw another beautiful pie in the sky. I know some of you may have seen it too but I am probably the only one who managed to get a decent shot of it, perhaps because of the quality of my Canikon infinity-zoom camera my wife recently bought for me while I was waiting for her in Starbucks smile.png

I'm blessed to have such a beautiful, amazing wife and so lucky she isn't an ex-bg like most other expats wives, she must have been the only village girl living in BKK that wasn't working in a bar when I met her, how fortunate! Sometimes when I tell other expats I meet that their wife used to be a whore they don't take it too kindly, I really don't understand why, maybe that's why I'm so misunderstood sad.png

Sorry, I digressed, back to the topic at hand which is the pie. The reason I looked out of my window was because a couple of pesky soi dogs had wandered onto my property. I've told them numerous times in faultless Thai (I'm fluent by the way) that they should stay off my land but they won't listen, I might have to resort to beating them like one of my neighbours does. It's time to take the Shrek out now as I'm in training, I hope to join the next Hash and I'd like to try and keep up with the testosterone group who are always at the front, usually I walk with the ladies and talk about myself but I think the guys might need some relationship advice and who better to give it them than me?! tongue.png

I've been trying to find a picture of my favourite Pie in the Sky. but can't find one that does it justice, Anyone have a pic of a very pale babby's yed with chips and Gravy ? obviously it needs to be in orbit too smile.png

Here's a tribute to all you Soi Dogs and lowlifes out there in CR , especially the ones potentially married to whores biggrin.png

  3. Unlike the train to Chiang Rai, I am reliably informed that this road is going to happen.

Which road? As I mentioned earlier, the map graphic only loads (for me) as a horizontal strip.

Do you mean the 'ring road' going east side (already partially built)? ....or the one proposed for west side of town?

you have to click on the first link. it'll show what appears to be a huge bypass well to the south, west and north of Chiang Rai.

should help your Ha yaek problem too.

you know people are only gonna pile trash under that Overpass your proposing, and you'll be the only one interested in clearing it up . Its sure to over stretch you wink.png

  4. Looks a bit on the small side, I was expecting an awful lot of dosh from my Tarmac Scam. If the Tarmac doesn't work out I'm going to introduce brass rivets to Thailand for machetes and the like. I bought one about 10 years ago in the UK, cheap as chips about 5 dollars and the handle just won't fall off. got to be down to those Brass or copper rivets. Just imagine how many machetes there are in Thailand, I mean everyone must have 2 or 3 per household, and the handle comes flying off every 10 minutes and they fix it constantly as if its connected to the Wheel of Dharma in a constant Birth/rebirth cycle.

anyway, isn't the Forum chatty today. got to be a good thing, surely smile.png

  5. unsure.png I would have thought the section of the bypass they are working on to the east would have been enough but obviously not.

don't suppose it would be worth me putting in a bid for the tarmac Job. I could get some of those Guys back home who always offer to Tarmac your driveway with an Irish Accent over here. they'd do a better Job. The design must call for about a six inch surface of tarmac. I'd give them an inch and pocket the rest . They'd get half inch more than they are expecting on the finished Job. Everyones Happy. I could buy an Island in the Philiipines whistling.gif

The Tinkers would have a Job for life going round slapping a bucket of Tarmac in the Holes. not hard work really, no need to compact it , just let the vehicles compact it themselves. I have plenty of trees at home so I could provide all the brush wood you need to put at the side of the hole for good luck or whatever they put it there for. And I'd do all this work in the dry season instead of the rain season which would be considered controversial I know but I'd save a fortune , wouldn't need to spray the bitumen emulsion everywhere in a desperate attempt to keep the road open.

Although on second thoughts maybe I would open a Chain of Car wash places , do the work in the rain season, spray as much of that black <deleted> I can get my hands on and charge about 300 baht per vehicle to get it removed.

  6. I like the verdant green that so lushly blankets both hill and dale during this rainy time of year. So varied in hue as to push ones senses into overload, yet so soothing to the soul.smile.png

Yeah. I can just see you skipping in tune to Julie Andrews biggrin.png

Maybe the Sun always shine on your Pineal Gland and your dopamine levels continue to spike to new levels thumbsup.gif

  7. hey, that shot of the Flying Pie is slightly disturbing. Its like some sort of Alien Invasion .

as for the other forum thing, there's some interesting local info on there but its still quiet like our little forum.

hey, why don't whats left of us try to get along. Its good to make fun of each other occasionally but I'm sure we'd all miss each other if a dummy was spat permanently wink.png

  9. Surprised no ones replied yet. back in the UK people used to say Pig manure was good for root crops as that was the sort of thing they ate.

here they eat a lot of maize so its probably different. OK, its a non-scientific , old fashioned way of looking at it and maybe it doesn't hold up scientifically.

Don't know what the pelletizing process takes out or puts in but I suspect its pretty good stuff. I keep a couple of mountain pigs just for manure as I have an aversion to chemical fertilizer. I've just Googled 'Pig manure' and there's a lot of info out there.

  10. no opinions, no responses. Oh well, (collective yawn).

Sorry maidu, I tried to promote your post but as usual somebody tried to make it about me.coffee1.gif

Just having a laugh. Lighten up. Its not all about you. you did give out the Ammo.

And I did detect an Hint of Paranoia in your post.

  11. If only there was a Smiley to depict the Hysterics I am having . Thanks for making my day clap2.gif

Jubby, you say the sweetest things! I know you aren't a big pie fan but if you happen to see a pie in the sky please take a snap and post here for all to enjoy. Obviously you'll need to walk around with your nose in the air instead of your eyes glued to the floor hunting for dropped baht coins and trying not to step in something nasty but don't let that stop you wink.png

yes, you say the sweetest things too biggrin.png ........ If only I had studied more, spent more time in halls of Academia , or worked in a bank or something, and played the stock market rather than being Pond Life that I am wink.png

not hunting for dropped baht coins today though, but I've got my eyes firmly glued to the floor looking for my best Bahco pruning Saw that I've lost this morning biggrin.png

We should get a room wub.png

If you find that saw your looking for make sure you keep it close, someone once told me there's a (potential) serial killer that lives out your way!

Sent from my GT-I9003 using Thaivisa Connect App

The bloody things got a Green handle and a black anodised blade. need a miracle to find it , unless we have a metal Detecting Geek in our midst.

It Wouldn't have been much use against a Serial Killer but I could probably have shoved it up his Arse in order to get out of the 'incident triangle' .laugh.png

well try to have positive thoughts and cut back on the Alcohol consumption . Alcohol can make one depressed and I know the local brew can cause acute paranoia , Schizophrenia etc. ... wink.png

You know quite well that I don’t drink, unlike many in these parts, so perhaps you should take your own advice.tongue.pngbiggrin.png

I know only that you portray yourself to be tee-total but who really knows ; I mean I don't have a sweet tooth and don't generally eat Pie but no one would believe me so I won't mention it smile.png .......

    Anyway, where's this Airport ?
