  1. Hello,

I asked the agency that rented me my condo if when I left the country and re-entered I had to go to Immigration to update the TM30, and they told me that it was not necessary if I did not move from my residence.

But today a friend went to immigration who returned from the Philippines to Thailand last week and they told him that when he entered he had to do a new TM30 with a maximum of 3 days from when he entered the country.

I have a 6-month contract in my condo (which I presented to do the TM30) and I did a border run to Cambodia on January 20. I have to go make a new TM30 then? At the rental agency they keep telling me that it's not necessary... I'm confused

  2. I arrived in Thailand on October 24 with a tourist visa (60+30 days extension). I have to do my first border run from Pattaya next week (before the 21st).

I have read and searched for a lot of information in this forum, and after all I have read, I would prefer to hire a company that is in charge of organizing border runs.

I have read that prices are usually around 3500-4000 baths

Could anyone who has done a border run from Pattaya lately recommend any of these companies?

    My questions are:
With these companies, do you avoid problems with Immigration (such as the issue of having to spend at least one night in Cambodia)

What documents are required for the border run?
    Exit ticket from Thailand?
Proof of accommodation? I am in a condo with a 6-month contract.

Can showing the contract for this condo be a problem since it is for 6 months?

    Thanks!

  3. Anyone knows some agencies/companies for do border run from Pattaya? I came Thailand with tourists visa (60 days) + 30days extension who will expire in 2 weeks.

One of my friends did a border run by himself last week to Cambodia, and the OI at the border told him that he had to spend at least 1 night in Cambodia? Is this "rule" normal now?

It will help if I do the border run with a company? Or all its depend of the IO at the border?

  4. I just arrived to Thailand and I have plan to stay here around 6 months.

I come with tourist visa (60 days) and I pretend to extend it (+30 days) then go out of Thailand and come back.

My landlord told me I have to go Immigration within 2 days of my arrive to register my address. I remember you have to do this if you will stay over 90 days in the Kingdom, so I have to do it?

I will need this for do the extension of my visa (+30days)?

You do not need the TM6 card to travel within the country.

Which immigration office did you go to in Phuket. They gave you false info.

After you get to Bangkok you can get one at Chaeng Wattana immigration.

Im in Pattaya. I went to Pattaya Immigration.

Yea I don't need to travel inside the country. But need for do 90 day report and for extend my visa right?

I called airport again. They tell me again to Immigration...

Best to request it at immigration. Getting  to somebody to request it could be difficult at a airport.

Some immigration offices want a police report of it being lost to issue a new one (punishment for losing it.

So I asked at Suvarnabhumi airport, they told me the airline can give me new one when I leave the country. But I not gonna leave the country I need this card for do 90 report and that things. So they told me to go Immigration.

I just go to Immigration this morning. They said they don't have for do TM6 so? They say contact airport....

    As I guessed, a <deleted> mess

  7. Hello. Seems like I lost my arrival card. They didn't stick it to my passport and maybe it get lost at the Test And Go hotel, or maybe at the check in desktop of my flight to Phuket.

Anyway, my landlord need it for do report to Immigration.

How can I proceed to get a new one? Somewhere I read go to Immigration and somewhere I read can do at the airport.

Tomorrow I fly back to Bkk from Phuket. Can I have any trouble to get the flight without the arrival card?

    Thanks

It's my understanding that you have to take an RT-PCR test within 72 hours of your departure. Make sure it is the RT-PCR test, not any other type of PCR test. You need proof of a negative result in order to board your flight.

As far as I know all the PCR test are RT-PCR.

As they commented in this thread too: https://aseannow.com/topic/1238704-thailand-pass-rt-pcr-test-v-pcr-test/

  9. Hello, I use to see for another countries they ask PCR test 72 hours before arrival to the destination,

But for Thailand I see somewhere you must to do the PCR test before ¿DEPARTURE? So can I do the test 72 hours before enter to the plain?

And anybody knows if they ask you the PCR test only before enter the plain? Or Immigration in Thailand can ask to see it too?

    Thanks

People are really freaked out about sharing a taxi ride to hotel. The person sharing a taxi was covid free before flight as were all passengers on plane. Only vaxxed people are going to the 1 day hotel in Pattaya. So both people are vaxxed in taxi wearing masks, I don't see the problem.

I think some hotels should offer private transport by paying a little bit more. It will be worth not taking the risk for an extra money.

I ended up buying travel insurance from worldtrips.com,  slightly more expensive but covers the same stuff, and provides letter for inpatient/outpatient cover for O-A in  Thailand (although I don't have O-A now, just non-O retirement). I guess the O-A letter coverage is probably good for STV too.atlas-o-a-2.png.9ae167a5ee6c623b0abdbb7dadc11a72.png

Yea, this agent from ACS told me with that letter is not need to be Thai insurance company. I will ask my embassy again...

That ACS policy is what I used last year for the "second requirement", are you saying immigration accepts it for the first requirement as well? It's not a Thai company. (Not arguing against you, it would be fantastic if true).

This is what this agent told me (sorry for the long message):

"2 insurance certificates required for COE/Thailand pass  in order to enter Thailand with Long Stay visa's type below:
    *O,OA,OX Retirement
    *STV
    *Volunteer

1.Foreign insurance certificate filled and signed by the insurance company. It's the compusoly form from the embassy.

    2. Cover all medical expenses including CVID-19 at 100 000 USD or 3 000 000 THB.

There are Luma and Allianz ACS can give 2 certificates no additional charge.

    Luma vs. ACS GT
O OA OX retirement or STV visa from Eu to Thailand:

I can provide the 2 best insurance offers that meet the Thai authority’s requirement: LUMA vs. ALLIANZ ACS insurance.

2 certificates needed for O,OA Retirement and STV visa health insurance's requirement:
       * have medical benefit Thailand for inpatient must not be less than 400,000 Baht + Out patient not be  less than 40,000 Baht
*cover all medical expenses includingCVID-19 at least 100 000 USD

LUMA and ALLIANZ ACS and  can provide 2 certificates in 1 buying.

After the payment by bank card you will receive the insurance certificate in a few minutes for the embassy from [email protected] or
    [email protected]

Please forward the insurance certificate and your picture of passport to (email address from that company) for receiving the 2 nd insurance certificate. It will take 1 to 2 business days.????????"

is this the normal procedure? I never applied to STV before.

Seems legit? I see in some well known Facebook group, some people telling this agent help them to get the STV.

  13. A thai agent (looks like she helped other people for their insurance for long stays visa (STV too)) sent me this insurance: https://www.acs-ami.com/en/part/poema/globe-traveller/?part=poema&chan=code1

It's 120€ for 90 days. It looks like reasonable price.

She told me they will provide 2 certificates it's required by embassy for apply to STV.

Someone have another options for STV?
