Hey OP, sorry to hear that. It sounds like the lawyer has gone AWOL. Yesterday I met with a visa agent, filled out some immigration forms and submitted pics and paid 11000 baht for a 'Volunteer' visa, which is supposed to be good for 3 months once granted. There was me and another guy there at the time, and after dealing with paper work and paying we were told that the next step will be to go to immigration on either 22, 23 or 24 September. They said they will be taking people up in batched on those days. I have no idea if the whole thing is just a scam or what but I was willing to give it a shot. After reading the OP's post, I'm now even more doubtful. If no one contacts us to go to immigration or if they do but the immigration rejects the visa applications for whatever reason, it doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room with regards to the 26-September deadline.
Considering the three month volunteer is usually around 25k, sounds too good to be true.

I lost my TM6 card a while ago also (same as you, I don't even remember getting one). The first time I extended my visa, I didn't even need it. They asked for it, I said I didn't have it, and they extended my visa anyway.
Today I wanted to extend my visa again. They wouldn't do anything without the TM6. I went to the police station, and the police give you a paper that shows you lost the TM6. And I should be able to use that in place of a TM6.

The 11th is the last day a 90 day non a immigrant visa entry application could be done. They require at least 15 days remaining on your entry to do them.
Is the same true of a non O volunteer visa?

There was never an "amnesty" - we got automatic-extensions of our existing permitted-stays through (eventually) Sept 26.
They have already announced one can get 30-day extensions of these with a letter from your embassy. Just the letter and some landlord-docs (depending on the office). That seems to be the "what's next" option. If one cannot get an embassy-letter (USA is automatic, others want "reasons"), and do not want to return to your passport-country, then next step is to check here (and similar sites) for options:

https://www.kayak.com/travel-restrictionsWhen you say "automatic", no reason is needed beyond my city is a bit of a mess? Why are they doing this, considering there are flights going back to the US?
