  1. Thanks guys as always on ThaiVisa some good solid responses and idea complemented with experience. I reviewed Zadarma and WorldSIM, the key for me is to maintain my number also through porting my number. Vodafone told me to move from post to pre paid (PAYG) I'd have to be in UK , I think for the new sim to be registered.  I will ping them again.

    Thanks again.

  2. Hi, I pay two (wife and I) monthly subscriptions to Vodafone in UK for the occasional SMS /text message for Bank and other UK based One Time Passwords (OTPs). Option A: is I go to pre-paid, although I need to go back to UK to do this, Option B: is what I'd hoped to hear about if somebody has cracked this, perhaps an online service that allows for routing messages or similar, or maybe a good providor in UK that can deal with overseas applications / management. Thanks for any input.

  3. Thank you all, some good discussion and thoughtful answers. Assume a major factor in many peoples comfort. I took away:

    1) Keep the sun out, extended eaves, insulated roofs & roof space, blinds maybe even solar panels to reflect heat away.

    2) When hot supplement and amplify the fan with a AC.

    3) Using fan all time will help to keep ave temp down.

On the fan front I'm thinking a Mr Ken helicopter fan with an Asian version of something like the Vornado 630 Medium Air Circulator. Happy to hear suggestions.

  4. I want minimise use, and try and achieve cooling through more natural methods.

    Is this the correct forum.

I'm in the final stages of building a 2 bed condo, I have aircon unit in ceiling and also looking at a Mr Ken helicopter fan in the main room. Any ideas or other measures that can help me reduce the need for aircon. Including ideas and products that may help.

    Thanks, Richard
