For a while I have had the idea that covid-19 will turn the Thai mentality to right direction. But no. No pandemic can make Thai officials forget the Thai  jingoism and understand that the other countries offers far much more than much less. Those, who have one million USD can select thousands of places without red-tape or even stay home. What Thai officials like to forget those who worked for this country as a foreign, taught their families for practically nothing. After ten-fifteen years of work they are simply thrown away. Do you have 30 million Baht from your maximum 40 thousand monthly salary? No ? Pai leu! Most of them have families, kids owing double citizenship well educated speaking languages. They could be one stable pillar of the next generation. Me nun million, mai? OK, Pai!

Due to the Lancer, Oxford Russian Sputnik and Chinese Sinovac are the most effective. Astra might cause problems for those who have blood-related problems. The rest are practically good. Thailand will import Russian and Astra as far as I know.

I have read at least five different news on the subject of foreign vaccination. Astonishingly, the hospital here is well informed. Whenever I read the actual daily news, they knew the next day information, which was quite opposite.

Nonsense. Some couple of  Billions were vaccinated in Chine, and Indonesia were vaccinated  incl,.  the whole Red Army without any major problem.  There is no COVID incidents in China, bot because the population has died out. Now these doctors have doubts. Could it be the situation is quite similar to Europe where some big players were bought by some producers than the other products all of the sudden became to dangerous? 

If I consider that strong, well organized European countries have been continuously fighting against the virus for about a year or more, I should disagree with this statement.  In short, ridiculous.

Thailand wants to upgrade but again...
 Thailand develops practically nothing comparing to the other countries. They are always open their arms wide open for rich people who are not interested in Thailand but rush away as fast as it is possible. Other countries offer far much better and now, cheaper.
 On the other hand, I have worked here for more than 10 years. I tried to teach Thai students not only one subject but never got 50.000 THB even leaving alone 2-300K.
Those who tried to teach here at least a semester should know that this 10-year period is equal to 30 in Europe. 
 But I must admit Thailand is grateful and offers me present at the immigration office every 90 days, I can pay roughly 2K THB every 60 days leaving alone the other gifts of the Smiling country. 
Maybe this is a reason why Thailand is not on the list of the best countries to retire anymore.

Did Thailand do anything? 

I would not say that 300 THB is a huge money. But this action would not help in the dramatical increase in the number of tourists in Thailand. Especially, when the Thai tourism industry has got no support in the past years.  I believe, however, it is not a bad income for some people here.
