You might as well apply for the non-immigration O-A Visa. Similar requirements to STV (show 800k baht rather than 500k baht) and you can stay in Thailand 1 year, extendable for 1 year. STV is 90 days, extendable twice for 270 days (no conversion of visa allowed).
Thanks but it seems 50+ im under 30 ????

Im thinking myself to apply for STV maybe. I actually wanted to move to philippines at may 2020 for long term.. Quit my full time job (i have other "job" via internet), had to rent out apartment at august and now here i am...feeling how im getting drained mentaly. I did read stv application and requirements, im not really good at paperwork hehe it seems a lot of struggle/hassle. Tho imo thailand at least making something compared with many other countries. Better slow start than nothing. I will look into stv more in mid december probably as if theres no way i can get to ph on jan i will stay here meanwhile.
Imo waiting vaccines is dangerous road. It will take long time and might take even longer everyone think. Im myself hoping they will find some good medicines etc that helps fighting covid if ur ill so it wont get serious / critical. Hopefully countries come out with good solotions.

Its funny how people spam no usa,eu etc person will come with those rules. its only 1200 persons per month.
im from eu, under 30 and im thinking about it. tho it seems its country restrictions so unfortunetely my country not on list right now. 2 weeks quarantine? done that 2 times already (okay its self isolate but havent gone out those 2 weeks anyways when i did it).
Not hard to just work those 2 weeks more and be more producive.
while its not good solution by thailand, its better than nothing. bad start is still better than standing still.
Foreign ministry: 20,000 foreign tourists a month set to come into Thailand

i havent still fully decided where im going on january 2021, quarantine 14 days isnt really problem for me but visa rules (if you need to send docs and stuff via post etc) seems so much struggle so i doubt thailand would be 1 of my choices... i did read stv and TR requirements... while stv would be nice the list of requirements gives me a headache...ordinary tr visa 60 days is kind a limited..90 would be nice but still i truly hate some paperwork.... i did check even "reccomended" thai insurance companies but those pages seems like from year 2004.
Really wish it would be simple, send some docs or stuff via webpage, book asq, pcr test before flight and u can come...
