  1. I have to return to MTT to sort out my "under consideration" stamp on 12 October, which is Monday right before the 13th (a Thai holiday).  I wanted to go to Koh Chang for the long weekend, but obviously this is problematic if I have to be in MTT right in the middle of that time.  Would it be possible to go to immigration earlier?  Would it be OK to go later?  With all the promotion of domestic tourism -- in which I enthusiastically want to participate -- it'd be a shame for all involved if this kept me home.

Also, I've seen a few commenters on this site mention calling immigration.  Are you calling 1178?  Would they be able to answer my questions?

Thanks so much for your help! ????

  2. Hello all,

I just got back from MTT where they gave me an "under consideration" stamp on my original METV that then moved to the amnesty.  I asked why and she said "you have special case so supervisor must decide."  I asked what is special and she said my stamp says I should have left in May.  Is this why everybody is getting "under consideration" stamps, because we all should have left a while ago?  She said I had to come back on 12 October and "pay money" but she didn't say how much.  I've looked around the recent posts about the "under consideration" stamps but nobody else seems to have been told of the need to pay more money.  What would happen if I left on or before 12 Oct without going back for the results of the consideration?  Could that complicate future visa applications?  Also, if the consideration is accepted, what will be the result?  Would I be able to stay 30 days from 26 Sept, or 30 days from 12 Oct -- or something else...? Thanks in advance for your perspectives
