No, the median salary is 34,963 British poundl.
The latest government data, published in November 2023, reveals that the median average UK weekly wage for full time workers (in England and Wales) is £682 gross (that's the equivalent to an annual pre-tax salary of just over £38,000) – an increase of 6.2% compared to 2022.
Median is the salary where there are as many earning more as earning less. It is a way of avoiding results skewed by a small number of extreme earnings ( or lack of).
Mode and mean are other measures of averaging a range of variables.

Very much on the high side they say the average income is 30000 however that is skewed by the very highly paid upper income workers. The median salary is around 22000 (the median is the amount the majority of workers earn)

According to a TCT statement, only 50 per cent of tourism businesses remain open, while 36 per cent have closed temporarily, and four per cent have shuttered permanently.
What happened to the other 10%?

Can anyone explain to me why the EU trying to secure enough vaccine for it's member's citizens is a bad thing, but the UK doing the same for it's citizens last April is a good thing?
Err... one is buying a product, the other is stealing someone else's?

"AstraZeneca told EU officials that the UK is using a clause in its supply contract that prevents export of its vaccines until the British market is fully served, EU officials said."
What they mean is that instead of quibbling over price the Uk obtained an agreement that their contract would be honoured first before any other, yet to be agreed, contracts with other parties."

Well in th UK my wifes Thai driving licence would have worked fine. The trouble was I couldnt find an insurance company that would insure her! Turning her loose on the roads with a provisional UK driving license showed me that they were absolutely right.

Hi,
Could someone who has travelled to Thailand from the UK on a Thai airways flight recently tell me where they got the Covid test? The flights leave LHR at 9.30 pm on a Sunday so would need to be taken after 9.30 on the Thursday evening, or more practically, on Friday. I am wondering if any of the testing locations and analysis labs work over the weekend to deliver the results by Sunday.
Kind Regards,
Chris

I am a UK citizen, my wife is Thai. We both wish to travel to Thailand to visit her family and attend an important wedding ceremony. We are aware of the respective requirements for Thais and Foreigners and believe we can meet them. But, is there any way we can travel together and quarantine in the same hotel together? If so, how do we arrange it.?
Many thanks,
Chris
