Scared ? I drive over 200 km/h in a fast German car and I am not scared at all...

Why will he end up in ICU or a Coffin ???
Or do you mean that he is at greater risk than someone who drives a car? in which case he would agree.
But, there are 70 million people in Thailand, not all of them have an accident... in fact there is 0.026% chance of getting killed in a motorcycle accident every year, that stat reduces significantly if someone doesn’t ride while drunk or a night...
So, while riding a motorcycle isn’t the automatic ticket to ICU or death you suggest it is, as another poster wrote - it would be nice to have the option of hassle free travel in the evenings (like in Bangkok) and not have to ride if one wants to get anywhere without being ripped off or d!<ked about...
BOLT - does it really work at all in Pattaya ?
Grab doesn’t seem to work very well.
yes, people like you keep talking when 50 riders at least die on the road everyday///
so you must be right, keep talking ! And condolences to your family...

Hopefully, by the time I am 64, there will be proper metered taxis here and I will not be forced to ride a motorbike as well.
yes but the Nobel prizes here usually understand this only after they die on the road !
I was a rider until I stayed in Thailand, this is what anybody with half a brain at least should do.

Until you get a motorbike you are missing out, something you won't appreciate until you get one, so glad I bought one 3 years ago
Let's see how glad you will be after ending at ICU or maybe in a coffin...
wishing you the best

I guess that you are an expert, right ? So funny people with their best best best, 55555, even my Thai maid can make croissants as good as them !
17 hours ago, Jingthing said:Well baguettes and croissants are certainly Frenchy. The prices did sound rather shocking. Again I would recommend:

la baguette has nothing French, no staff, no owner, nothing. And I guess that anybody selling croissants more expensive than in France couldn't do worst than them ! So funny that some people find them "best"....
Odelice owner is french yes, and prices are better.

As per the title, what is the best gym ?
Not the cheapest but the best in terms quality, variety and amount of equipment.
Looking for a monthly type fee, as staying a few months, not annually.
Not price dependent.
Thanks.
I guess that you are such a champion that you need great quality gym...

I had a hankering for some filafel, hummus and naan, yogurt cucumber salad, and fried cheese while in Pattaya yesterday. Headed to Pattaya Rd. 16 where a lot of middle eastern restaurants were located on Google map. Not a one of them was still in business. I would have to think that Covid completely shut them down? It was sorry to see. Rather than scout out any others I headed back from whence I had come as I had passed a French bakery on the way to the Arab district. I thought I would give that one a shot. Turned out to be a splendid choice.
La Baguette French Bakery Cafe & Restaurant on Thappraya Rd. directly next to the lane taking you into the Pattaya Provincial Court. Much more of a bakery than a restaurant as they only had a few menu items other than sandwiches and salads.I had the pleasure of meeting, greeting and eating the largest, flakiest and most beautiful croissant ever. Stuffed with slightly grilled Virginia ham, gourda cheese, a mayonnaise based sauce, and accompanied by the usual garden veggies. It was massive in size and would easily demolish any hunger pangs for only 350 baht.
I washed that down with a delicious 160 baht thick banana Barvarian milkshake served with a stiff paper straw.
For dessert I ordered the crepe suzette stuffed with a fruit medley of oranges, berries, strawberries and apples soaked with orange sauce and flanked by a dollop of orange sherbet and homemade cream for 280 baht. The portion size was again overly generous and needed a dinner plate to be laid onto.
Next time I would ask them to not serve the crepe until after I had eaten the sandwich as the cream did not hold it's shape for long and the sherbet began melting.
This photo does justice in illustrating the enormous and impressive size of these two items. At the prices asked I consider this to be a steal.
My wife was dead set on some Thai food so she only nibbled on the sandwich. She is also averse to sweets other than myself . . . surprisingly. She had only ordered green tea, which I can't describe fully as I didn't look at it on the menu, and accompanied by a pecan cookie. It was certainly very photogenic.
The pastries on display where every bit of what you would expect to find in an Austrian Bäckerei. I highly recommend the place and am somewhat thankful that it's far enough from where I live so that I can't eat there daily.
it has nothing French but the name.
clearly overpriced place for Thai living on debts but still spending for useless overpriced food.

anybody knows if they sell again ?

As far as I am concerned, these guys do a great job. Considering the amount of traffic this site gets, it is remarkable how infrequently the site is down, and how few issues I encounter. Let us give some props where they are due!
yes, keep thinking hard as you do, it's obvious that you must be right !

Am looking to buy a new mattress but so many to choose from also latex mattress to hot? Want a firm long lasting brand am in southern thailand
if you start by looking for a brand, you are already wrong.
markup on branded mattresses is one of the highest in retail and brands are just cheaters.

Maybe google "coconut mattress".
I have one in my rented apartment and I like it. If I ever have to buy my own mattress I will buy one of those.
It's firm and comfortable at the same time.
You do not have a real coconut mattress, your mattress just like all coconut mattresses, only has a small layer of coconut, the rest is foam.
but yes, it's comfortable and cheap.
