I have asked my insurance company about testing positive on arrival and am i covered if i have to quarantine in hospital even though i have no symptoms. After being on hold for 10 minutes i was informed i would be as long as i purchased gold or gold plus cover which is the most expensive. I have underlying health issues so that level is probably what i need anyway but it's best to get things confirmed too many grey areas leading to the brown stuff hitting the fan.

You are in a minority the vast majority want to get on with their lives and are fed up of being told what to do. That is why the UK government have made mask wearing a matter of choice as well as social distancing etc.. You can stay in your house if you don't feel comfortable mixing with unmasked people avoid crowded areas. I 've had my two jabs and am living life as normal going for a pint going for a meal, working without a mask. I think we shouldn't concentrate on new cases maybe post hospitalisations only, as it seems to cause panic amongst the more timid in society.

I'm no expert on this but i believe most are leaving because the proof of income for residency is out of reach for a lot of people. I don't think you can use an agent in Spain

Think pound just over 46 today with WISE and i'm fairly sure you can apply for residency in France if you meet the financial criteria and then purchase a property. I too am still able to live comfortably in Thailand with my wife and child my only concern

I made a transfer last week of £2000 from my Halifax bank in the UK to Bangkok bank and only £1500 arrived. Halifax have assured me the correct amount was sent, Bangkok bank after inquiring have given me a transaction statement showing £1500 landing in the account. Some elderly people like nothing more than moaning and this forum seems to be where they vent.. Could have gone back to their countries of birth and been vaccinated however i suspect most have burnt their bridges..
