  1. Why do you put yourself forward as an expert on this ?You have no idea what is going on in the background. You are just another Thai basher. Think yourself lucky you are here and not in some  place where folk are dying of Covid all around you

You  are  a reason I don’t mix with expats generally . Too many like you who live on Thailand and not in it .

Praise be to the actions taken here to keep us safe and the discipline shown by locals in being careful not to spread this virus.

you are a sad cynical man , sitting in the wings hoping the government will fail so you can gloat over it .

    Just shut up !

This I just have to see, as how is a transfer of just technology going to get the lab up and running by June.  Technology aside, where are the lab chemists going to be obtaining the actual material to make the vaccines.  Is Astrazenica also transferring samples of the vaccine with a few chemists to work alongside the Thai lab technicians who will be spinning up the vaccine itself.  Has the lab already been certified for this specific vaccine production, and the space made for the specific vaccine for Covid-19 been ensured to be of the proper specifications needed.  Have additional technicians been hired or are they shifting them from current assignments to just producing the AstraZenica vaccine?, or is just a recipe good enough and they will be making it in the kitchen like a Methamphetamine cooker makes meth?  Standing by to see what occurs, setting my calendar with a date reminder to check back in less than 4 months to see.  Making a vaccine is not as easy as he makes it seem, technology, equipment, temperature, segregated areas so no contamination can occur, and such is needed.  I was not aware SiamBioscience had already completed a dedicated lab section within the complex at 99 Moo 4, Rural Highway Road, Bangkok, or built a new production space outside of what they already have in place for their other works.

Wish them luck.  Seems like they have put all of the eggs in one basket and Anutin has been put on the hotseat.

Reading requirements for changing of motorcycle owner everybody mentions "inspection". Does it mean that to change an owner, motorcycle has to be fully in working order? Do they like check lights etc.? Anybody has an experience?

I don't understand it in scenarios like buying and old motorcycle. Or crashed motorcycle. Do I have to first put XXX,XXX Baht into that bike under somebody else name. And only after that being able to change it to my name? Or be told that there is some problem and bike can't be transferred?

  4. Up to you . The medical evidence about alcohol is clear . It would be a miracle if your body had not already acquired alcohol related disease . You could easily have this checked out at any hospital . I see expats here all the time acting as though they are still on holiday . Drinking with buddies or alone most evenings and filling free time at home guzzling whatever they can .

I don’t preach about this or the need to avoid smoking as well . Consumers know the risks . You don’t need to ask about it here . It is clear already . The only issue is how far has the damage gone and what is now the prognosis . If you wish to carry on doing what you do / do it . Up to you ????

    a tad rough this morning..

    it's got me thinking

I wonder what my Liver looks like now.

Having been a moderate to heavy drinker most of my life i'm willing to bet it's not in great shape.

However, most of the time I never give it a second thought.

Last night I put a fair amount of booze away but have only been partially hungover.

Do you lot who drink ever worry about the state of your Liver, heart stomach etc?

Also the throat, cancers are very common in heavy drinkers apparently.

Yep, I changed my bike tyres last month, 3 years old and only 15,000 Kms, but they were hard even if they looked good, changed them and the difference in performance was huge.

Changed sprocket and chain as well, Pirelli Diablo Rossi all done for 10K.

  7. Hi

i am in the process of doing this via an agent in BKK

i live in Chiang Mai and have bought a bike with BKK plates

my BKK agent assures me that they will retain my cherished number plate whilst transferring ownership to me up here.’there are some forms  to fill in ,including the power of attorney .

The  process starts in a few days so we shall see.

I also believe this is possible from a previous experience here.

better thro ‘an agent too .

try this yourself and it will as likely fail

I live just north of Korat. Today I was having coffee with a friend. He told me he had mailed a letter to the UK yesterday morning. When his wife went in later in the day they gave the letter back and his postage saying they were not taking any mail to the UK because there was a backup of flights out. Anyone else heard of this?

  9. You are surprised

Tru had made their offer farangs worse each and every year .

they know folk are now getting their media from elsewhere so they don’t care.

thru show old films over and over again. The rest of the stuff is about food , fishing, car customisation and travel . All cheap stuff.

i cancelled my subs and bought a smart tv.

    only answer !

  10. They make Ducatis , Harleys and Big BM’s here.  Maybe other makes of big bike too .Not just scooters . Bikes up to 1250 cc and more .So the member who said the biggest made bike in LOS was 300 cc is way off beam

I have been riding big bikes for over 50 years and still own four here  three of them 1000cc and over, covering high mileage every year . What is the examiner going to know that I don’t ?

I ride safely and wear the best gear .

Best  guess is that the examiner will never  have ridden a big bike at all ????

Only way to test riding skills is to follow a rider for 50 kms or more under a variety  of road conditions . Not going to happen is it ?
