Flight prices are sky high right now. A one ticket from Ord to BKK in March/April showing $750 compared to $550 before the pandemic and sometimes even as cheap as $300. May be it is the new normal. Round trip prices are still reasonable. May be I book a round trip to make a trip for three months.
Ord ???

No. Sometimes there is only one side.
Examples...jeffrey dahmer's victims had no fault. Ukraine has no fault. dahmer and putin are both psychopaths. Just 100% guilty. Oh, unless you think dahmer's victims gave him bad recipes, or there were nazis hiding in hospitals, schools and shopping malls in Ukraine.
The beating might have more to the story, but nothing justifies what the french-algerian did to the Thai man.,
They could be migrants from N.A. living in France. Good point ...where they got the money for a Porsche? I smell a rat ...no pun intended ????????????

He is 24, not a kid. Need some clarification. Does he normally IG his mom? That seems odd, why not text or just call. Did he buy a Thai sim card or use someone else's phone to IG his mom.? Maybe he wants to go off grid for a month? Has the mother contacted his friends where she is? Can his bank check his ATM withdrawals?
I remember my first trips to Thailand in the 90's. No calls, no mobile phones, no internet really available. Sent a few post cards, most did not arrive until I got back a month later.
If he is "missing" hope someone has seen him and reports back!
What " friends " are you talking about ?

I am not in favor of anyone poisioning dogs. However, many around the globe and in particular in Thailand are irresponsible about their pets. They let them roam and have no problem with the nuisance the animals are to their neighbors.
The dogs in our village howl at night which is disturbing, but they also urinate and defecate in the grassy areas in the village. That is hardly something that neighbors should have to put up with.
Thailand needs a pet nuisance ordinance, where people who routinely let their animals roam are automatically fined for not properly caring for their pet. It is also improper behavior to subject the pet to becoming attacked by other animals or struck by motor vehicles.
A quick trip down any Thai street shows you that stray dogs are a problem and whether family pets or ferral animals they are a nuisance and present a hazzard to drivers.Wait for the Pitbulls to take over the streets !!! That's the next nightmare in Thailand !!!

I can easily picture this. Voices raised. Offence given. Thai guy goes away, comes back with scythe. Hacks at neck from behind with no warning.
My advice: don't be an <deleted> in the first place, avoid altercation, but if an argument is picked by someone else, get out of the way as soon as you can because they will come back with a gun or knife, and if you do get into a fight, don't go to the floor whatever you do or they'll stamp on your head.
Emphaty is not on the menu here.

The authorities should release baby komodo dragons in Thailand. The locals will mistake them for fully-grown monitor lizards. Meanwhile the soi dog menace disappears.
Not that easy . It takes days of suffering for a prey to succumb to a dragon's bite .
Maybe you wanna volunteer. You or your dog first ??

In all my years here I don't think I have ever seen a short period(the last month or so) where an inept government is making one decision after another to dissuade tourists from visiting the country.

I don't wish to shift too much from the main issue here, which is essentially the possible imposition of restrictive & puntive social sanctions against those unvaccinated, but could someone just explain to me why I might be incorrect in thinking that if vaccinated people can still become infected with C19.....and if vaccinated people can still infect others with C19, why should it be assumed that UNvaccinated people are a particular risk to others? (A risk to themselves, yes.) It's a genuine query and I am happy to be shown up as having faulty logic or as being uninformed if that is the case.
(I am fully vaccinated btw, but only cos I could see exactly this kind of s**t coming down the road.....and lo, here it comes.)
Beautiful logic !!!!

Phuket sandox was a massive failure
Their reopening (not open) cluster is a massive failure (millions didn't come and aren't coming)
How many failures does it take to screw a lightbulb in
At least one 3 star failure. No name required..
