If Thai airways were able to shave a little off their prices, then they would get a good majority of the market as prices are high all over the field, and with their neutral status with russia should make it possible for them to accuire cheaper fuel... But knowing Thai, they will rather go the other way and increase prices

What a bunch of delusional people that want to decide for alot of good thai´s that never get listened to what they want... Thailand is nowhere close to being a world class destination with all their open severs, dual pricing, corrupt taxi system and in way too many places dirty streets... I wish Thailand actually could be a world class destination that offered security and where tourists could feel totally safe, but there are way too many things that need taken care of before they even get close to that.

With the prices of airline tickets and just overall prices in europe skyrocketing, then Thailand has big time missed out on european tourists by opening up so late.. Most people simply do not have the spending power that they had 6 months ago, so it ended up as so many said, that Thailand would be the big looser of the countries around that region with the holding back strategy for so long...
