About Me

To whom it may concern,

I am an American Black Male from the Washington, DC, Virginia, Maryland area in the states. I am married to a Thai since April 05. We have an apartment in BKK she goes to school I work in Afghanistan as a US Army contractor. I am a partner in a growing commercial fish farm in Buri Ram. I spent my wonder years and high school years gravitating to and hanging around Asians (Koreans, Laotians and Thais) most immigrants start out in the hood with us Blacks. My closest dearest friend’s stateside are Lao and Thai. When I came to Thailand it was like coming home and the experiences from my friends and their way of doing things in the hood at home prepared me quit a bit (but not totally) for as far as how to carry myself in Thailand.

On my first trip to Thailand I saw that my friends at home (all born in Lao or Thailand) are watered down and this is the real deal and I love it. My wife and her family were shocked at how I could and know how to eat anything they eat and recognized most dishes put out. My Thai is weak and I only showed up with Thai and Lao cuss words in my language portfolio. But I have made some adjustments. I am living my dream over here working and preparing a life for myself and my wife in Thailand.

I first experienced Asia full force when I was in the US Marine Corps travelling to Japan, Korea and the Phillipines as a member of a contact team (I signed a 6 year contract for a gauruntee of first duty station in Japan). I always went to the places where there were supposedly no expats around so I can get a real taste of a place and I did the same when I came to BKK and I have not been dissapointed with it at all.

I browse TV to catch up on what is going on in Thailand and to read the crazy interactions between the members.
