  1. UPDATE: finally bought and installed Eastron sdm-230 meter (the one without CT) tested for the whole billing cycle and here are results: before Eastron : ~ 20% mismatch with PEA meter ( underestimate consumption- bill higher that deye numbers would suggest) after Eastron : 2-3% underestimate PEA meter so i would say accuracy improved by 10 fold. meter from PEA likely is slightly biased towards overcharging than losing money for utilities so it is acceptable. meter itself is not very useful to look but at least data collected from inverter either to deye cloud or home assistant is reliable and could be useful for correct calculation and statistics.
  2. pcb has 2 channels . i bought it in case i have second inverter in the future. splitter is used to divide power to 3 fans so only one channel is used. whole enclosure is DIY connected with piece of aluminium and wood
  3. that pcb is a controller and a thermostat and cost like 2$. (PWM smooth control) For me overkill is involving software and programing but you still need switch for the fans. also using home assistant for collecting data from solarman. Used it to calibrate termostat to desired temp. After that you can forget it.
  4. temp sensor connected to heatsink also. fans starting to speed up above 39C. with this pcb fans idle always (1.3w) i thought it was strange but room could benefit from ventilation. monitoring internal temperatures with home assistant.
  5. i added extra exhaust to the outside . 3 pc fans automatically controlled by dedicated pcb. Room gets ventilation and inverter stays cool. since installed internal DC temperature never allowed to reach 70 C
  6. quite a upgrade. I got half cuts bifacials on the roof (p type) and is is possible to briefly get more than 100% out of them. Once i got 5650w out of 5400 array. i dont think that would be possible on 1 faced panels
  7. do you provide work permit? what is a compensation?
  8. whatever Deye cloud ( and home assistant using deye data) calculates is is off by like 2kwh a day. (pea meter spinning disc meter showing more consumption) i wonder if its worth to add meter like chnt ddsu666 (seen on aliexpress for like 15$) - would it calibrate deye calculations? also i dont want to look outside at the meter every couple of days , neighbor looking at me funny * i already tried to change CT ratio settings to calibrate it up and down and still error is the same,
  9. type panels and stuff you like on FB search . Some wholesaler near you probably posted some advertisement. Respond. Might be necessary to chat to negotiate prize (use translator). Many times you can do cash on delivery or pickup yourself from warehouse. prices will be better than Lazada/ shopee that is what installers do anyway, if you find right people they will pass the savings to you and just come with all stuff and install. (happened to me)
  10. facebook group โซล่าเซลล์ รับงานติดตั้ง และหาช่างราคากันเอง that's where wholesellers advertise to installers. Price not always include VAT tho
  11. actually looks like batteries coming down and you can buy 300ah for something like 50k after all adds like that poops on my facebook
  12. agree that for faster return on investment everything you mention can be done and working fine. for me Devil is in details. Deye likely to last longer and has more flexibility connecting generator/microinverter/ smart load ( ups mode has no delays) also is modular . Can expand system and connect additional inverters .Battery comms can be cloud backed and remotely accessed, including errors. so piece of mind , futureproofing system , and of course play with bells n whistles too. Couldn't help it
  13. example? i think you talking DIY. OP might not want headache of dealing with that ready batteries that communicate with deye are something like 70K for this kind of capacity
  14. those combiner boxes comes ready with installers all you do is connect your solar grid and inverter. I was pleasantly surprised how cool it is. didn't even know i will get load meter and v/a protector. this is how i solved sensor connection (pic) paper clip and thermal paste using double pwm controller (in case of future second inverter ) triple pc pwm fans connected to splitter. Only consumer 1.3w at idle and 11w at full steam. works great
