  1. Does the culture of "hitchhiking" exist here? Never noticed. Even when the money is not a problem...
  2. Russians cannot have Visa or MasterCard unless they open accounts outside of the country, so most of them carry cash and keep that in their suitcases. I know older generations even sew it on inside their underwear. Lol
  3. My question is exactly the same... I've seen 16 year-old boys in gay apps, of course, stating they were 18, because you cannot get registered there if you're younger... A bit not right, is it?
  4. Yes, that's right. Genuinely, after the cancellation of work permit you have to leave the country within the same day before midnight - that's what I did last time. And that time I even couldn't get proper information.
  5. When I was back from China, I wanted the work immediately, so I agreed to apply for a position with an agency per my friend's recommendation. But while working there, I found another job and it was direct with the school, without any agencies. When I submitted the resignation letter, following the contract's conditions, the owner stopped replying to my emails, messages, didn't pick up my calls and didn't let me see her in her office. So, I wasn't aware which was the date when she cancelled my work permit until I went to the Labour Office myself and asked for that. When I went to the Chonburi immigration office and asked what should I do when the work permit had been cancelled, but visa had not, they told me no worries, you can stay on that visa until cancelled. So I did. When I was leaving the country walking out to Laos, there was no problem with them, especially when I said that I would be receiving a new visa from a new employer. When I was applying for a new visa in about two months, they asked for the paper about the cancelled work permit, but again, there was no problem, I got the visa. The problem arose after almost 3 months when the school took me to get the extension of stay based on a new work permit. At that time the officer saw that between the cancellation of work permit and my leaving the country there were 43 days ...
  6. The Immigration found it from the paper about closing my work permit - it was in April, but I left the country in May. And it was already when I was extending the new visa. Though, they didn't see that when I was leaving the country, nor when I applied for a new Non-B visa from different employer ...
  7. I've overstayed for 43 days once, though was not entirely my fault - the revenge of the former employer - but just paid 20,000 baht and was reprimanded by a female officer a little bit. Though, the overstay was discovered when I was extending my new working visa, not while applying for one. I still don't know how it wasn't discovered when I had applied for a new Non-B visa in Vientiane...
  8. I can see lots of ads of Russians inviting to invest on Instagram and also all of them for Phuket real estate investment - I bet the majority might be scam as well...
  9. I don't understand if he's a fan of the world criminal who he calls "national leader" what he's doing here in Thailand...
  10. They don't start to joke but they can start talking to you in Russian (the majority of them don't speak any foreign language) and being irritated you don't understand them thus don't "respect" them...
  11. They usually make lots of paper, charge you 20 baht for the notice that the complaint is accepted and that's all - staying at their desks waiting for another paperwork...
  12. 2018 or 2019. Don't remember exactly. Before COVID for sure.
  13. Once long time ago, I was on Samui for the first time and needed a ride, so I booked a Grab. And the distance of around 6 km that can cost around 70 baht in Bangkok, took 398 baht on Samui... The same application... Never been to either Samui or Phuket after the COVID, and not going to..
  14. Yes, it was. I've seen that in pop-up notifications.
  15. Quality tourists are on their way! Welcome those, Thailand!
