I have heard that it was a motorbike accident on Samui. My source? I had an sms from a friend in Guernsey saying. And i quote. "A Guernsey man and an english woman have been killed in a motorbike accident on samui. Have you heard anything, or do you know who they are."

Guernsey is fairly small, so talk spreads quickly.

You are correct hotandhumid, this is the same guy that has the dentist. He has told me that he's Australian but lived in UK for many years. He has also shown me his house in oz. on Google Earth and told me he used to be a life guard at a beach very near his house. Also i think it's worth a mention that his wife's work is very good and i have yet to find a cheaper dentist.

I bought myself one very similar to this apart from dials where on the bottom and not the top not that it matters, has Toyota logo on start up screen etc. and everything can be changed to English even the street maps i paid about 16,000 bht. (GPS) version comes with instructions in thai and english and a seperate book with all the info. on updating the map. There are other units there with GPS ranging from abt. 13,000 up all makes and models.. For other readers here who arnt interested in the GPS these can be picked up for 5000 up.
