  1. Thank you that looks like a good option they have labeled it as Lumbusacral Spine MRI which i think means the same as MRI Lumber spine what i am looking for.
  2. A family member of myn is traveling from the Uk to Thailand and while in Thailand they have a referal from a uk doctor to get mri of lumber spine carried out. Have contacted a few hospitals and they all say according to the hospital policy we not accept letter from another Dr and you need to see their own Dr in there hospital before it is carried out. Is this correct what they are telling us even though we have referal from uk nhs Dr? He then wants to take the result of the mri to bnh hospital to Prof. Wicharn Yingsakmongkol as reccomended by another member on another thread on here. Will BNH hospital accept the results of the mri from another hospital? Or will they expect it to be carried out there? Thanks
  3. The 2nd Bangkok branch I went to was able to update my visa from my Irish passport without letter from embassy despite the 1st branch I went to saying I needed letter. I also gave the bank the AIS tax reference. Some of you suggesting I should have applied for the dtv in my uk passport. That’s all good saying in heinsight as I couldn’t have foreseen how this could have been an issue. Also I had 8 years left on my Irish passport and only 18 months left on my uk passport. That’s why it made more sense for me to apply for the 5 year dtv on my Irish passport
  4. I’ve just gone to a different Bangkok bank branch and got a completely different answer. They told me all I needed to do was to go to AIS shop to change the information with AIS back to uk passport and get the AIS tax invoice from them. Have done that not with AIS shop so hopefully that resolves the matter but still unsure as the first bank said my visa needed to be switched to the Uk passport also. will know in a few days if it stays active or not after updating passport with ais
  5. No my AIS passport was opened on my Irish passport. As on the Uk passport I have a middle name on the Irish passport I do not have a middle name
  6. Hi I opened a Thai bank account a few years back on my uk passport. I have 2 passports both uk and Irish. My current DTV visa is on my Irish passport not my uk passport. I received a message yesterday stating that I will lose all mobile internet banking access on the 8th July as the name does not match the name my phone number is registered in. This is technically incorrect as the only difference is my uk passport shows middle name and my Irish passport does not. They told me the solution was to go to embassy to get document showing verification of passport. I told them this was not possible as the embassies stopped providing this service a few years ago. They then could not propose another solution. Then even told me if I changed my passport at AIS shop from uk to Irish it still wouldn’t work as the visa is registered on the Irish passport. Said need to get the visa on the Uk passport. Told them immigration wouldn’t allow that. They were unable to offer any solution and I’m going to lose bank account access in a few days because of it. Can anyone suggest any solution to this or will an agent be able to help?
  7. No I’ve no knowledge on quality of cardiologists at this hospital just saw someone else post about the program on this forum.
  8. This link was posted on the forum a few days ago by Sheryl https://www.vejthani.com/packages-and-programs/cardiac-screening-package/ Could be a good option for you. The package looks good although they seem to be difficult to contact as i emailed them but no reply.
  9. On their website https://chulalongkornhospital.go.th/kcmh/en/dept/checkup-center/ it states 1. Individual health checkup. Pre- appointment 2 days in advance ( Not including Saturday and Sunday) via Email : checkup.chula-email removed For more information, please call 02 256 4863 ,02 256 4843 I sent an email to the email address on this website but after i sent the email i get email back saying the following Address not found Your message wasn't delivered to checkup.chula-email removed because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail. Looks like the email address they have on their website is incorrect Tried to call the phone number they provided before 3pm a few times but no answer on the phone.
  10. Was thinking of getting a health check up for my father early 70s no underlying health conditions that are known. Just thought i would be a good idea as has been a while. Was thinking king chulalongkorn as it would be much cheaper than the likes of Bumrungrad and less likely they try to sell unnecessary tests etc. Only question is do you know if you can book appointment with them if you are not already signed up to the hospital. I dont want him to have to go to the hospital sign up then make appointment to come back again another day to do the check up. Prefer if you can book in advance without being signed up to the hospital but not sure if possible? If not perhaps Bangkok Christian hospital would be the next best option or does anyone have any other suggestions for hospital to use for this? Thanks
  11. Not sure if I can post a link to yt video here so I will send you the link to video in pm
  12. I was watching a video the other day by a Dr I follow on yt Dr Brad Stanfield The most interesting part of the video was blood pressure. He said that a 140/80 blood pressure reading was now no longer good enough and we all should be aiming for a reading of 120/80. Of course other factors come into play so 140 might not necessarily be bad but the general idea was that 120 was better. Diet and exercise will be most important before any supplements some of the things he reccomended included 1. Omega 3 Fish oil 2. Psyllium husk 3. Creatine monohydrate The other 1 he mentioned was a low dose of melatonin but I guess melatonin would only be helpful for someone with poor sleep. Don’t think you can get melatonin in Thailand as far as I’m aware
  13. I am aware of those services but he never mentioned anything regarding him using that service.
  14. 9 months a year on visa exempt since 2017 i dont believe you never heard of a single person being able to get away with that. Valid point about visa exempt as oppose to setv since it currently offers same amount of days at present. However immigration will only let you get away with so many visa exempts per year before they ask you to get a visa thats 1 reason why people in Thailand for most of the year would still get the visa to decrease the chances of being denied at the airport for too many visa exempts.
