Where CITIBANK complex now stands was a kind of muddy bar area, separate from Soi Cowboy. B52 and Lolita's had their original bars there along with several others. Lolita's now on Soi 8 was "Wildcats" at that time: same theme. B52 moved to soi 22 after development of Citibank began.
EDIT: Was what is now Lolita's off soi-8 "Wildcats" or "AlleyCats"???? Anybody remember?
I think that it was Alley Cats. I am sure that B52 developed from Wild Country, certainly some of the girls were the same. The first time I saw it was in Washington Square (WS) close to Taffy's. This was after the side of WS with Silver Dollar and others had been knocked down but there were still some bars open on the other side with access from Soi 22. They then moved to the Queens park bar complex and are now in a small soi off Soi 22. I think!!!!

Wild Country turned into B52 and moved to the Queens Park bar complex. It is now in a soi off Soi22. The Sportsman move to Soi 13.

how about Wongs, on Ngam Dupli? Was still there and very unchanged a couple of months ago when I passed it. Very "old Bangkok".
Or Jack's Bar on the river near the ShangriLa - never changes.
Good call on Jack's1 Wongs I do not know although I have heard of it.

I have been a lurker for a long while but could not resist this topic!! Someone mentioned Chequers on Soi 4. That is open but very quiet. I always preferred Jools which has now moved to the Samsen Rd - same owner and still good English food the last time I went. On the music front, Brown Sugar still operates but I am not sure as to whether it is still at the same location. In Patpong, Cleos is still operating and owned by the guy who owned Cosmos. The latter is currently closed but may open again when better times come back - or maybe not!! Finally, from the old Washington Square, Bourbon Street moved to Ekkamai, Wild Country became B52s and is now in a soi close to the Marriott Marquis on Soi 22 and the Sportsman moved to Soi 13.
