  1. most flights require a covid test 72 hours before departure, i dont think any of them do 24(as it typically takes a day to get the results).

I'm flying out tomorrow night and got my pcr test done at MedConsult clinic in Raquet club on suk 49 today. super easy and only 2600 baht. they emailed me the results already but I will go pick up a hard copy of the negative test in the morning

  2. Tanzania has a very young average age. a quick google search shows their median age as 18 while the US is 38 and UK  is 40.  The vast majority of the people dying from covid are very old. Tanzania doesn't have many of those.  A young population and not as many pre-existing conditions will lead to alot of mild or a-symptomatic cases.

    Its not rocket science here.

You renew your permission to stay once a year, everyone should know that. The TE visa is all about the '1 year stamp'.

You can tell by the stamp in the passport - it has an expiry date on it - that's the date to renew by ????

There must be some real dummys out there.

I also got an email from them today, I rolled my eyes and moved onto the next spam.

when you normally travel in and out many times a year you never think about needing to go to immigration.  And most thailand elite members never do their 90 day report either, with no problems from that.  I mean, who is regularly looking at their passport when they can't go anywhere?

Previous guests have said - QR code, Samui health pass for Thais/foreigners (different QR code) and temperature checks only.

thats all it is, i flew in last week. and you can enter whatever info into samui health pass that you want.  so the only way there would be a issue is if you came from a red covid district AND declared it in samui health pass lol.

There is a check point on Sukhumvit right almost opposite Banglamung (Chonburi) police station, so anyone who enters will have to pass that check point.

The Chonburi border is about 60 km north of that border.

thats just a temperature check, no document check as far as i know. I've driven through it multiple times on a bike this past week just a quick temp check then on my way.

What about those who can't afford a smartphone and/or do not know how to use them? Does the government supply free phones now, or offer classes, how to use them?

basically the only people without a smartphone in all of Thailand are old grannies in the village, and small children.  its 2021 mate.  And those people are fine since they aren't traveling anywhere.

if you're gonna post just to post, at least be realistic.  thailand has about 70 million people and over 50million of those use smartphones.  take out kids and old people and thats pretty much everyone.

5 days and 316 dead and nothing is done. There are no checkpoints, no red light cameras, police sitting at crossings only look at their mobile phone while people are driving against red light all the time. In Pattaya very few use a helmet noways because no checkpoints, but most have a face mask.

you could tamp down corruption and actually pay thai police by just enforcing the laws they have now that would make roads safer. My biggest one is how little respect people have for a light turning red, especially when turning left/right. they just go by the thai custom of once someone turns everyone gets to turn.  I live in korat city and every single day at the major intersection in the middle of the city someone runs the red light(turning left or right) EVERY SINGLE TIME. Thats 1 violation every minute, for at least 10 hours a day.  at 500 baht a ticket thats 300000 baht in a single day at just ONE INTERSECTION.

i know it will never happen, because its just too logical to do and also would involve thai police doing actual work.
