  1. Check out STILL GAME, Starring: Ford Kiernan, Greg Hemphill, ran for 9 seasons, now available on Netflix. Scottish humor...even though a bit dumbed down from the theatrical version since the Scottish language in the theatre was only understood by Scotts! Good stuff, nevertheless!
  2. Excellent suggestion! It is now included in my resident certificate documents folder. Cheers, trainman
  3. SUCCESS! Thanks very much for the excellent information! DL in hand. Much appreciated! Cheers, trainman
  4. Hello Team, I have an odd situation here and need some advice. I'm trying to get a DL (car and motorcycle) at the Chiang Mai DLT office. I'm living in a long-stay AirBnB, great owner...until I had to ask her to complete my NOTIFICATION FORM FOR HOUSE-MASTER, OWNER OR THE POSSESSOR OF THE RESIDENCE WHERE ALIEN HAS STAYED form as required for my DL RESIDENCY CERTIFICATE (I do have a copy of the proper TM30 document, but it does not serve as a residency document for DL purposes apparently). Despite a number of gentle requests regarding the form (including sending the form to her as a pdf attachment), no response. I can think of a number of reasons why she might be reluctant to provide her personal information on the residency document, but it's clear to me that she doesn't want to do the form, which means I can't get my DL. I do have an INTERNATIONAL DL with me for what it's worth, but the DL is what I'll need eventually. Does anyone have any suggestions on alternatives I might consider? Can a hotel stay serve as a residence for securing the document noted above? Or do I need to move to a new residence and try my luck with a new landlord at some point? Any advice or suggestions much appreciated. Cheers, trainman
  5. Thanks, ubonjoe. Really appreciate your clarification on the original question and the various fallow-ups. Trainman
  6. Right. Thanks for the feedback, ubonjoe. It would be after border travel opens again.
  7. Even better question! I'm looking at post-Covid (or post Test & Go, I reckon)...sometime in 2022 hopefully...
  8. Greetings AN readers, Can anyone tell me if a Thai Elite Visa is recognized at land border crossings as well as airports? I'm getting mixed messages from the TEV folks about this question, so my apologies in advance for what is a puzzling question. Ex: If we have a TEV in our passport, and we want to take the train from Singapore to Bangkok, will our TEV NOT be accepted at the Padang Besar Thai Immigration Office when we re-enter Thailand via train from Malaysia? If this is the case, what do people with TEVs do for entry visas when they return to Thailand overland (not by plane) from Malaysia/Laos/Myanmar/Cambodia? My apologies for this weird question, but I'm not clear on visa options if the TEV is not accepted at Thai land-border immigration offices.
(US (me) and Malaysia (my wife) passport holders for reference) Many thanks for any clarity I can get on this question. Trainman
  9. Aloha gang, I'm trying to find current retirees in Thailand who previously lived in Hawai'i and might be using their Hawai'i based HMSA health insurance in Thailand now. Mahalo! Trainman
