Yeah, I get your point but can you show me from which website "the more expensive thai insurance" is from? https://covid19.tgia.org/  or https://longstay.tgia.org/  (or something else?)?

Because the Thai Insurance for C19 from the official https://covid19.tgia.org/ states that you explicitly need insurance for your whole stay. If worst case happens and that insurance company needs to foot the 100-200k bill (as you statet), surely they will do proper scrutinizing to see if you only was about to stay only 1 month. If they can reasonable proof otherwise perhaps coverage is nulled. Just playing devils advocate here. Not being rude, just curious. (I'm about to travel with the Safetywing setup).

Why not buy Luma (Tune insurance) its only 8000 baht (£100 more than safetywings) and will cover you even if you have no symptoms and get sent to hospital..........

You CANNOT buy 1 months insurance cover with STV.........your STV application will be rejected, you can't even get COE, visa exception of tourist visa with 30 days cover......

You NEED to buy 60 days cover minimum, period. To enter Thailand (Because visa exemption is 45 days)

Do you really need both thai insurance and separate covid insurance? Safety wing does not cover both?

Which thai insurance is best for 90 days?

Do you need insurance to extend for another 90 days while in thailand?

    Cheers

You can buy AXA which costs about 11,000 baht and covers both 100k & 40/400k for 90 days, it can also be extended once in thailand. Search 'Robert jackson stv" on facebook

I really wouldn't go for safetywing, what happens if you test positive in ASQ, do you really think they will honor their commiment and pay the hospital 100,000 baht? when you paid them 2000 baht for insurance, I doubt it

according the embassy full payment of booking only applies to stv not standard tourist visa, i think its a bit silly as most tourists want to travel around so you would be paying twice if you think about it. I mean what tourist stays in the same place for even a month. I certainly wouldn't and no tourist would stay in bangkok for long. Its simply a way to bolster the hotels by making you pay more.

You can book ASQ, then 2 x Agoda Hotels, or 3 x Agoda Hotels Somewhere....................Then use a PDF merger online to combine PDF's online, then upload that to supporting docs

  4. I am deciding whether to go for a Visa Exempt > Ed visa............. or get a STV.

With an STV it seems they are very strict......if you work with it whilst in Thailand you will be banned from Thailand

If I get an Ed-Visa - can I teach in a government school/international school for a short period of time (2-3 months) without any trouble?

  5. Hey,

Where did you get your 40k/400k Insurance from and how much was it?

Btw you need £5,000 in bank account (1 month should be ok) for proof for STV for UK

-Where are you doing to get your PCR and FTF certificates from?

For health insurance you need at least 90 days. If you want to extend visa, its not known whether you can extend health insurance in country --although I don't see why this would be a problem

-I don't understand the 'upload documents on thai visa'. Theres no upload for Bank statement which is needed, and you can only upload 1 document for accomadation - I will make 3 seperate hostel bookings
