"At least fewer people are using all the bogus "agent visas",  Can you name these bogus "agent visas" so I can avoid them in the future? If you are worried about defamation laws, a PM will be fine.

I am sure that with the amount of posts you have, you are well  aware of the visa types i talk about ????

When you are on ED visa, but have never seen the inside of your school.
When you are on a volunteer visa, but have never spent 1 hour volunteering for anything.

Unless it's essential, anyone planning a vacation must have been wearing blinkers.

The average tourist would spend 2/3 weeks enjoying sand, sea, sun, entertainment and nightlife, not the current situation with bars, shops, clubs closed (some probably never to reopen.

For anyone considering such a vacation, my advice would be save your money for better days ahead.

Buy a pair of goggles, snorkel, flippers and jump in the fish tank at home - you'll have more fun, for a fraction of the costs -COE not required.

    I very much agree.
If you are a typical tourist, there is really nothing to come here for at the moment.
From quarantine to lockdown with nothing to do. Rules and regulations change overnight, and the island / hotel you plan to visit, can be closed down while you sit quarantined.
I wont even leave Phuket, as a false negative test on the way back would send one to the hospital.

I am sure immigration would not extend a 90 day entry from a STV for 60 days based upon covid 19 since you can qualify for a 90 day extension.

Some offices have already refused the 60 day extension for those with tourist visa or visa exempt entries until after they applied for a 30 day extension.

As far as I am aware, you can not convert STV to anything at all.

IMHO they won't stop covid extensions until land borders are open. Situation worse than ever. Vaccine roll out hopeless. Covid extensions will continue for quite some time.

You are perhaps correct, but as of now the Covid extention is not available when the OP need to extend. (hard to plan a vacation after something that might happen)
I am sure that its a hard one to swallow for the government. For years they have tried to make it harder for long stay tourists, and now people can stay long time without have a defined purpose other than holiday.
At least fewer people are using all the bogus "agent visas", so something good have come out of the Covid extention.

It is typically not difficult. You need the TM7 form which you should be able to find online. For good measure I am including TM30 too but not sure if they care anymore.

However I am less sure about replacing your TM6 and lack of 90 day reporting which are also needed. I have heard immigration themselves can give you a replacement TM6 and the missing 90 days will require paying a fine, but I have never had these problem so I'm not sure if there are other steps. The whole process is done at any local immigration headquarters. If the process becomes excessively burdensome for you, you  could pay Thailand Elite to send a concierge with you to assist, but that comes at a cost. You have to go in person though, can't be done through an agent. My understanding is it can be done up to a month in advance. I will be testing that theory this Monday when I do my extension on the TE visa.

    Thank you for your reply.

I just come from Phuket immigration that told me, that i need a paper from thailand elite, before i can extend. Not sure what paper they are talking about, but will give them a call after hearing advice from here. I would have asked them about the tm6, but i forgot
(I was in a hit and run car crash 16 months ago, resulting in brain damage and loss of memory, and some things are not so easy for me anymore)
