This is the worst of both worlds. Restrictions that are not working that well but keeping the epidemic alive locally and vaccines always coming "tomorrow".

You simply cannot control a pandemic by restrictions unless it is total lockdown at the cost of economic collapse.
It will always flare up until there is a herd immunity wide enough, either with vaccines or with the old fashioned way.

This on-off red zone bs will just decimate even more local businesses. You can't run a business with one month open, then suddenly with little warning another one month closed. Thailand's economy will crash hard.

With this rate it would take years and years with this on-off red zone bulls--t madness. One month business open, one month business close. You can't run any businesses like that, you will run out of cash eventually. The economy will collapse worse than in the Great Depression.

A complete misrepresentation of science.
Mistake #1: Quoting a single study. You can always find a single study that will support your agenda. What does the scientific consensus say?
Mistake #2: Face masks are primarily to stop the wearer from spreading the virus.
Mistake #3: the quoted study actually determined a 10% benefit in protection for the wearer.
Have a nice day.
Read again, nine separate trials. Not just one study. Little to no benefit.

WHO study: "A large randomized community-based trial in which 4862 healthy participants were divided into a group wearing medical/surgical masks and a control group found no difference in infection with SARS-CoV-2. A recent systematic review found nine trials (of which eight were cluster-randomized controlled trials in which clusters of people, versus individuals, were randomized) comparing medical/surgical masks versus no masks to prevent the spread of viral respiratory illness. Two trials were with healthcare workers and seven in the community. The review concluded that wearing a mask may make little or no difference to the prevention of influenza-like illness.”

In a normal situation it would go over the population like wildfire and the herd immunity established but now there are always more people to be infected per patient nearby because of no herd immunity.
