Thank you all for your help, I shut the computer down then restarted, that seems to have done the trick.
And that is the first solution to many PC problems.

I think there is a misunderstanding happening here. I am talking about VIGIL on BBC1 on Sunday evenings.
No idea what Grace is.

Yes, just the two episodes so far from season 1 - but episode 2 is yet to be broadcast in the UK, I understand.
Please explain, two episodes so far from season 1, but Episode 2 is yet to be broadcast.
I think you mean Season 2 is yet to be broadcast, but do you think they will send Series 2 before Series 1, Ep 3?

It was broadcast in UK May---- I posted it -- Page 41 ...topic 9
It was good worth a watch---for some reason it seems to take to long to do season 2....maybe Covid
How come it's only just being shown on BBC then. Where was it broadcast in May?

I got sort of roasted for saying much the same when it first came out DanWill ....Yes now episode 3 is out & Stephen Graham (time/Line of duty) is back-its turning out to be a good thriller.

I don't sleep that well-often wake up in the wee hours, have a TV in the bedroom, sometimes turn on & there is the last half of a movie ot TV program---I watch it and think this is quite good, I enjoyed that, but when it gets to the credits I realize I had down loaded this a year or so ago and deleted it as being rubbish after 15 min or so.
.
Strangely I heard on BBC or LBC News that one of the Navy ships intercepting the illegal migrants in the channel is called...........HMS VIGIL.

I think for Long term to arrive same day, you have to send it early (before 9am???) else it will arrive next day but then again YMMV.
I now send my Money from my THB Balance in Wise and they seem to arrive quicker.
Not for me, still 2pm if sent before 6am, other wise 2pm next day.
Doesn't matter to me, I don't spend it all at once.

The Thai obsession of alcohol I don't understand, but now that even food is targeted is very special...It seems that sexparties are allowed, because there is no food and with coke cola it is allowed
But you may have to wear a mask whilst bonking!

It may be at the time that the money is being transferred but not if you can choose when you can convert from sterling to baht. I have made more than 3 % recently by waiting 3 weeks after I transferred the money to convert it to baht.
And if the GBP had gone down???????

It is not the TV remote I am using. I have shown the switcher remote in the photo. I may be 80 but I am not completely stupid.
Sorry I did not realise from your picture that it was a(nother) remote just for the switcher.
By the way, I got a suspension for using the word 'stupid' about someone. But of course, you are saying 'not stupid' LOL
So you are switching between Laptop into your telly, and TV box into it. Are there not two HDMI inputs on your telly? Easy if there were.

yes I have two bank accounts , bangkok and K, but its Thai baht . So is it better to do direct to thai bank and in sterling and then exchange to Thai baht? or have to monitor rates compared with transferwise ?
Current Bkk Bank GBP-THB = 44.665. Wises' rate is 45.028. So on GBP1000 its only THB 350 different. How many beers is that?
But if you need it for Immigration, Wise is the way to go.

I have a Nationwide account in UK. I set up a sterling account at Bangkok Bank and transfer my money in sterling from there to it. I think the charge in the UK is about 20 pounds. I can then transfer money from my Bangkok Bank sterling account here to my ATM a/c. This way you can transfer the money into baht as and when you need it or when the rate looks good. I do it online and it works very well.
That's great if you do not need the deposit in your Bkk Bank to show as a FTT = Foreign Transfer as you do for Immigration extensions. But you are still tied to Bkk Bank's exchange rate which is well below Wises'.

Why would a TV remote control an external switcher box?
Unless you are switching TV input sources from say HDM1 (Laptop) to HDMI2 (Set top box) on the actual TV.

I am in the UK so guess I cant set up a sterling account for me account in Thailand. I can still transfer though?
But at the rate set by the UK bank.

Ok so its a twenty pound fee by nationwide. And its transferred as UK pounds and then changed to baht when arrives?
Up to you, if you have a Foreign Currency Account, you can do it in GBP and then exchange as and when you want. The rate from UK Banks will not be as good.
I have got a Bkk Bank Foreign Currency Account, so if you want to send your GBP to it, then I shall send the appropriate THB to your Thai Bank........555

Wise I would use.
Not necessarily all at once though up to you.
Wises' charges are a percentage of what you send, so up to a limit it is cheaper.
A SWIFT from say Nationwide is £20 however much you send.

Ok Guess only way is have to open lloyds bank account . Others must be similar I have Nationwide Bank
