Anutin: Thailand's handling of the pandemic "best in the world"
NanaSomchai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'm usually one to be very vocal, post rattling comments... but this time, I'm not gonna even bother... -
I'm exhausted of being right every single time; If you've read me on several other topics across these forums, I made it very clear that Thai pupils attending schools were being brainwashed by very selective training at hating foreigners by creating a false sense of superiority, denouncing human rights, rejecting democracy, promoting nepotism again and again. If you all still needed a proof, there you have it. I'd hate to say it again, yet here we are again; "Told you so". Thailand brainwashing it's children, one generation at a time. This Kingdom is going backwards.

These are the nasty side effects you get at a later age, when nationalism is trained (not taught, just trained, like you would train an animal) on a daily basis as early as the kindergartens grades. Imagine 5 days a week being trained singing the national anthem praising how Thailand is the best place on Earth, praising how the Thais are blessed by Buddha and therefore are better than the rest of us (we're dirty remember what Anutin said about us), praising how Thailand aka the Land of Siam is only for the Thais, etc, etc, etc. This is what you get, a broken society that cannot function like a democracy.

I would say it all boils down to a couple of things; - How well can you casually dress up? - Do you have any (albeit very basic) knowledge of the Thai language? - Are you okay with smiling and doing a wai salute? - How many 1000 THB bank notes are you willing to insert between the first 3 pages of your passport? - Also are you border hopping by yourself or with a tour agent or is your Thai miss accompanying you whom can do the "talking" part on your behalf? It boils down to some of these things at the very least.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA wait for it... (grasps for more oxygen) WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Now do you believe me when I've told you all several times that these visas schemes were nothing but obvious SCAMS? Once again and again, what's the best visa for Thailand? Visa on arrival and the 1900 baht one month extension. Back to back. Period.

Indeed he is. "That" Thailand has sailed away and the tourism industry with it, sadly. I'd wager you're two years late to the party, but just like investing in Bitcoin, it is never too late to do so. Also for what it's worth, in my case after almost 11 years straight spent in the Kingdom, the first 3 months back in Europe felt awful and tasteless, I almost sunk into depression. After being in that delusional imaginary World that Thailand has to offer, I thought I'd never make it without Thailand. It took me about another 3 months, so 6 months in total to adapt and adjust my lifestyle back to being an European but now that the pink rose tainted glasses effect has worn off, I see Thailand for what it is; "A deceptive Kingdom made of false promises, empty dreams, fake love traded for full scams, full of lies and tricks". Once you've settled in Spain and adjusted, you'll be well off and after a while you'll begin to see Thailand for what it is; the Land of Lies. Welcome to the Party.

Or not. Thailand is a very unique case, in the sense that: - 1) It is not a Republic, it is a Kingdom, whoever shall not be named on these forums possesses Godwill rights on every aspects of what goes on within his Kingdom including the right to make you "disappear" at any whim. - 2) The Kingdom of Thailand is Worldwide is known for being the criminal hub of the World, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, child trafficking and so on, so on. These new controlling tools they now freshly have acquired in their possession are the very unique opportunity they have been actively been seeking, wanting, needing for years and years to control and curtail it all. Now that they have all that technology at their disposal, they are not even remotely close to letting it go. Thailand Pass is nothing but a poor excuse to use, misuse and abuse the technology they now have at their disposal, afterall why do you think they haven't already lifted it off after seeing the damage done to their economy? They are not stupid, they know exactly what they are doing. Welcome to Chailand 2.0 sponsored by the CCP.

I made them a favor, a huge one even, as per the article below: https://rmx.news/egyeb/italy-shocking-video-published-of-teenage-girls-groped-by-gang-of-foreign-males-on-new-years-eve-in-milan/ https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jan/11/police-raid-homes-of-18-suspects-over-new-years-eve-sexual-assaults-in-milan https://nypost.com/2021/02/13/when-europe-ignored-sex-crimes-of-immigrants-all-women-suffered/ While I could elaborate at greater lengths of the "reasons" behind a such decision, as to why I've decided to leave them to relative safety in the Kingdom, I chose not to as my views on this very specific topic differ from whoever runs/admins/manages/moderates ASEANNOW I would risk yet another very arbitrary suspension from these very forums... Therefore I'll let you read between the lines. Edit: Here's a very good bedside book, worth every penny: https://www.amazon.com/Prey-Immigration-Erosion-Womens-Rights/dp/0062857878

Which is precisely what I've been singing atop of my lungs on these forums for a good while now. Which is precisely what I've did when I left as soon as the pandemic started, sold two houses (to wealthy indians, they were the only ones with cash available on the spot), sold a room/condo in BKK (to a Thai), sold the car (sadly I've lost quite a bit of money on this bit), hugged the kids (from different Thai mothers) and wished them a "good luck" and hit the road, about two weeks later the Kingdom's tourism industry was being shuttered down. No regrets of making this move ever since. Which is what it has always been; an elaborate and worthless scam. I have personally lived a whopping 128 months in Thailand before calling it quits (thanks China), with nothing but visas on arrival back to back, extensions of said visas on arrivals, visa runs back and forth to Nong Khai/Vientiane and I once had an education visa in the early days (before the rampant crackdowns), to which I've attended a whopping 1 hour of Thai language class, if memory serves well (it was a long time ago), I believe I've shelled out 19,000 THB for it (just for the initial year) and IMHO it wasn't even worth the 19,000 THB it cost me. While this may seem a snark post from me, I genuinely feel sorry for those in your position who have businesses and meetings they must physically attend to in Thailand, those who must sign documents in person or those who got suckered in the very expensive Elite card schemes or for that matter the various real estate scams. I express nothing but sympathy and empathy to you.

Mark my words clearly: They. Never. Will. Scrap. This. Too much profit to be made from it, too much control over the (potential) masses hopping in and out of the Kingdom every year. This pandemic has brought them the surveillance and masses control tools they have sought for years, you can thank the CCP!

Would you agree now could be the time to buy bricks and mortar again?
NanaSomchai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Never. Trust. A. Thai. This is Thailand. -
Then something doesn't add up, hence why I deliberately chose not to comment on the rest of the post as I have no ways to attest of its authenticity. However on the severed access to food and water part, I can chime in as it is essentially in line with my line of work in real life and have experience in that field. As far as I'm concerned. /thread

I'm not sure whether this was being sarcastic or not, therefore I'll bite. No food or no water for 14 hours straight is complete lunacy, it's ludicrous at that point, unless Thailand has turned into a Gulag overnight, access to food or water is again a basic human right. I doubt very much you will find any Thai politician (regardless of the party affiliation), any senior ranked Thai army general, any Thai court judge or any Thai press outlet that will stand behind the idea of locking up tourists for 14 hours and depriving them of any form of nutrition, let alone the fact they were able to buy it with their own money. The bare minimum they (the immigration) should do is escort them to an ATM or a local restaurant and let them buy food at their (the alien) own expense. This is wrong on so many levels. Once the international press gets to hear about this tidbit and should the facts be cross-checked, heads are going to spin.
