  1. Get them to follow the line around a basket ball court shouting the action their doing. ie, walking, jogging, running, skipping and the Thai favorite marching. There are many more, show them the example and take it from there.

Dodge ball. Use a minature basket ball (Big C) slightly deflated, teacher starts to throw the ball, when a student gets hit they have to answer a simple question in English, (for the ages your teaching start with the basics, What's your name?, How old are you?, What class are you in? There's loads.) If the student answers correctly yhey get to throw the ball, if not they have to sit the rest of the game on the side-lines.

  2. Got this from a Thai newspaper a while back.

A very modern and adventerous Thai couple decide to take their children on holiday to the S. of France. During their stay they hear that many Europeans enjoy going to nudist beaches, so decide that they'll give it a go.

After sitting on the beach for a while their son turns to his father and asks why he has such a small penis compared to all the farlang. " It's because I'm poor" replies his father, and to hide his embaressment decides to change the subject. "Who wants ice-cream?" he asks. He then goes to get everyone an ice-cream. Upon his return he finds his kids sitting where he left them but no sign of his wife, so he asks his son, "Where has your mother gone?". "Oh," the son replies, "She went for a walk behind those rocks with a French millionaire."

  3. Thanks for the input guys. Looks like I'll be saving me pennies.

Which bringsa me to another question. I'm enrolling or trying to, at Rhamkampeang Uni. seems the do a B.Ed degree in English. So, does anyone know if you can get student grants from back home to help cover costs? In my case this would be Dreary old Blighty.

    Cheers.

  4. I've been teaching here for a while now, and having discovered how much I enjoy teaching have decided to get the relevant qualifications. Yes, I am, shall we say under qualified, and no this is something I decided to do before the new crackdowns. But saying that it's going to take a few years before I complete my degree, so I was wondering if a life ex. degree will keep me covered until then? Any one out there using a life ex. degree or knows about them any advice you have would be gratefuly recieved.

  5. Because I always go to bed with a smile on my face and wake up the same way. No matter how stressed my day was I can sit on my little balcony with a cold beer and a beautiful woman and watch the sun go down over the coconut trees, and realize I'm never gonna freeze my tits off again working for some A-hole. I can stuff my face on delicious food all day for 60 baht and, when I do have time for a trip away from home I don't have to f*** about buying airline tickets to find a little corner of paradise. :D;):D:o:D:D:D:bah::o:bah:

  6. I would say it's a must. You never know. Myself, I have AIA insurance, which I have used in anger. The first time was when I fell off my bicycle and after putting the pedal through the back of my leg found myself with a rather serious open fracture on both the tibia and fibia. First op. cost 80,000 baht, they paid up no probs. Then three operations to take out various plates and screws, and a skin and muscle graft were also covered these spanning over three years. Then last year fell into a ditch breaking two ribs, happens when your motorcycle lands on top of you, onmce again AIA to the rescue. Like I said if your an active type, then yes, medical insurance is a must.

  7. I used to have a wonderful crash helmet. All carbon fibre and dineema, great, saved my life one day. Some a-hole in a big SUV took me and the missus of the bike. I was a little miffed to say the least, and kicked his car. As I turned to pick up the wife, this f-ker comes up behind me and gives me a smack on the back of the head. I grab him, shout at wifey to phone the police, at which point he pulls a knife!!!!

So, I got this f-ker by the shirt front, he's already taken a large chunk from my ear. I look down, see helmet, look up see 15 odd motyorcye boys, big grins, coming my way. Next thing I know I'm holding a helmet in one hand and an unconciuos Thai in the other, motorcy boys are now heading in a totally different direrction. If you are put in a position where there isn't much of a choice, put the f-ker down hard, violent and make sure he ain't getting up. His mates won't want to play.

By the way when we finally got this c*t down to the police station it turned out that I was at fault because I hurt his car. A quick mention that I wanted a complete copy of all the records to give to my embassy soon saw the w-ker busted. 500baht fine.

next time I don't stop at unconcious!!

  8. our thai wifes have family in the uk too

they should be allowed to enter free of production from imigration

as they have sister inlaws brother inlaws

    mother inlaws

they are still our wifes family

no matter how we look at it

send the crap head back to thialand if hes still incharge then he wont mind will he ???? :D:o

Maybe they're changing the immigration laws back home to allow easier access for our Thai dependents. :D

One's ability to spell is not a prequisite of contributing to the forum however it does show the level of one's education. There are many who have contributed to the recent threads who could do a lot worse than to to take a refresher course in English (Queens English I might add, not what they speak over the water)

However one's ability to read is pretty important. Sorry for the spelling errors. I'll have to give some - - - - to the person I quoted from. Or maybe you didn't spot that!! :D
