many hotels now has smoked in room cleaning fee now, so ask upon booking if they have smoking rooms available, i'm sure there are still seedy hotels that has smoking room with tar stained walls and curtain, the typical cleaning fee for smoking in the room is 3-6,000 baht, for that difference you could've booked a hotel with balcony

Balcony? You mean a 10g bag under my pillow

  2. Remembering back to when I was 14 growing up in South Florida. My best friend BG and I got busted smoking red bud by his father Kort. Kort and Ms. Kort were quite the boozers and so Kort sat me and BG down at the bar and told as how bad it was smoking pot and offered up that anytime we had the ''urge'' to smoke that we were welcome to drink from his bar instead. Add one case of Jack Daniels to Mr. Gs monthly booze order. Looking back smoking bud mellowed us both enough to survive this infusion of free booze. Fifty years later and IMHO smoking a joint of good weed will tend to limit the amount of booze one will consume on any given evening. Recklessness is also reduced.

    Totally agree.

I have never been a wine drinker, even when I was a Pish-head (ex squaddie, goes with the job) but friends who do drink wine swear that 'Screw cap' Yellow Tail is an ok wine and that Aussie wines have come a very long way since the day's of 'Black stump Bordeaux', 'Sydney Syrup, & 'Old Smokey, 1968'.

The truth is that most so called fine wines (yes I am targeting France here) are set artificially high.

The mug punters who pay these extortionate prices are happy to do so because they believe that the price is an indication of quality.

In reality, it is an indication that the producers have not improved on their methods and tastes for 100s of years, despite peoples palettes changing greatly over that time.

Me, I prefer a nice Sativa, 2022 vintage.

For almost all products, the demand curve has a negative slope: as the price increases, demand for the good decreases. Giffen goods are an exception to this general rule. Unlike other goods or services, the price point at which supply and demand meet results in higher prices and greater demand whenever market forces recognize a change in supply and demand for Giffen goods. As a result, when price goes up, the quantity demanded also goes up. To be a true Giffen good, the good's price must be the only thing that changes to produce a change in quantity demanded.

There was always hash.  But - that would probably be in the "extract" category here.  We all want to obey the law - at least I do.

And I'm still looking for a place in Chiang Mai where I can buy what is now 'legal' cannabis flowers as well as seeds.
I'm mean - we're here!  It has been decriminalized.  People have been let out of prison.  Large corporations can benefits from the decriminalization and medical use to make extracts; and Anutin did not forget the rest of us and the law reads that we can cultivate and use all part of the plant, especially for medical reasons - and at my age?  Aches, pains. arthritis, and general ageing pain that goes along with ageing process.  Yes!  I want to find a place in Chiang Mai where I can buy some dried cannabis flowers as well as the seeds so I can grow my own at home for my personal use.

Shop | PrikPot Thailand  I believe is based there as my order originated there

  5. All I can add is using my agent takes less than 30 minutes on my part and leaving that 800K in my CDB account for one year makes me THB$ 106500 minus the 14K I pay my agent leaves me THB$ 92500. Over the 5 years using the agent I am up over US$ 19000

as opposed to parking funds making zero and having to deal with an Immigration Official.

As someone who is gonna retire to LOS next year can you guys tell me how many of you use an agent

is it the way to go?

Guys on here will claim the sky is falling over pretty much anything posted, agents are no different, it's illegal, monkey house etc. Sixth year here and spent the time it takes to sign your name on each occasion, 10 seconds times 6. I have made $18000 in lost investment income after agent fees. I have not read of a single person having problems using an agent who already didn't have problems. Many people in trouble get well bringing an agent aboard.

  7. Been with my Thai GF over 5 years now, life is actually very good with me and Mo, her name is Coco but call her ''Mo" as in Mo Money. That's no issue as the service she continues to provide over and above any other girl is priceless. The biggest problem is she tends to get loud and angry around the 8th Leo. Five years the exact some argument, my GF in Brazil. Lesson #1- NEVER TELL THE TRUTH< NO TRANSPERANCY. I told her week one I left my GF cause she was bi-polar, mean and angry and after 15 years with her I had enough. The only reason we would still be associated is because we were 50/50 on a million dollar beach house that would need to be sorted out. Will a problem GF1 did not have was making money. She opened our 2nd AirBnB and that house spit out 80K per year. She funded quarterly my share, house kept in tip-top shape all except the 250-300 intense sound-offs from MO about GF1 gets MO MONEY, MO CAR, MO EVERYTHING. Then, remember exact same lines every time, ''Why you not break it off with her ". I tell her simple as  100000baht plus per month to by Leo and $500000usd appreciating @ 5%/year" Always ends in a 5 minute chorus' of '' WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY................................................................" Getting better though as I just leave out my lines and do background chorus of why why why   why why      why why like duke duke duke in ''Duke of Errol". Gets her so <deleted> she just goes away, priceless.

  8. Built pools in both Costa Rican mountains with difficult access and Brazil on the beach  We used 8x8x16'' cinder block stuck together with what they call massa. It comes in premixed bags you place in plastic funnel bags like you use to apply cake toppings but bigger. Even I could lay the block, really easy to do and dries so hard and strong the block cracks before the massa joint. Then they hand apply 3/4 inch layer cement finished slick, then trowel on waterproofing followed by tile/grout. Very labor intensive where labor is 10 bucks per day so cost is a wash. Really nice because you turn the water different colors depending on tile you choose. We did an infinity edge along the entire side facing the ocean and picked tile so the water in the pool matched the color of the Atlantic Ocean, both pools cost less than 12000usd and took a month to complete, The pool in Costa Rica survived a 6.4 quake in 2004 centered 12 km away that generated 2 foot waves in the pool with no damage. Lots of quakes there that we would estimate how strong by the height of the surf in the pool. Crazy place to live, pura vida.
