  1. Obamas' lucky, lays by the pool all day, barks at hotties on the beach, room service 24/7. I just pay the bills to support his lavish lifestyle. Summers at his mountain villa in Costa Rica.
  2. This is our house in Salvador Brazil. All of our neighbors have been robbed, many several times. This trio has kept us safe since 2014 when we built the house. It's a gated community but being directly on the beach makes it dicey, Truth be known Obama the Rotty is a complete coward and deep sleeper, GW Bush and Barbara deserve the credit.
  3. Actually depends on lifestyle and where you live and eat. Thailand can get pricey living in a nice large condo. Cars and eating out can be expensive. The two countries are quite similar. Eating healthy local foods along with a place in the mountains is doable on $1800usd per month avoiding imported goods.
  4. I don't consider investing in RE somewhere necessarily makes that your home country. Just as not owning property in a country excludes it from being your home country. Designating one home country these days is becoming more and more ambiguous as many people spend time in various places in the course of a year.
  5. St. Augustine, Florida La Chirraca, Costa Rica Itapua, Bahia, Brazil Simply because we have homes there waiting for us. Thing is we are happy here living on the boat collecting rent each month. We currently cruise between Bali and West Sumatra in the Mentawais' from March to July. Spend August through November in Sutera Marina Resort in KK, Borneo and the rest of the year tied up in Phuket and Pattaya at the condo. Great thing about the boat is if you get the urge to leave you're gone.
  6. The team, George W & Barbara don't miss a sound and Obama always wakes up <deleted> off. VID-20200822-WA0017.mp4
  7. I'm confused, somewhere the thief / dead Thai is called the son, now brother of the drunk wife??
  8. Obviously you and seedling have limited comprehension skills. I am buying a GOLF CART that tops out at 30KPH. In the USA the average # of deaths per year related to golf carts 26, deaths from lightning 27. Meanwhile over 5,500 Thais die each year mainly from a complete lack of enforcement of helmet laws. Thailand #1 in the World in motorcycle deaths, #2 overall deaths and you two simpletons' are on a do-gooder rampage how I'm public enemy #1 for wanting to ride my golf cart from my house on the beach on soi 5 up along Jomtien beach road. You sound like two guys done fallen off your scooters without a helmet more than few times, jaja! Motorbike accident deaths: Thailand number one in the world • Samui Times Odds of Becoming a Lightning Victim (based on averages for 2009-2018) Estimated U.S. population as of 2019 330,000,000 Average Number of Deaths Reported 27 Odds of being struck in a given year 1/12,222,000 ______________________________ Odds of being killed relating to a golf cart in a given year 1/12,692,307 ---------------------------------------------------- Odds of being killed riding a motorcycle in Thailand in a given year 1/12000
  9. You have mistakenly assumed I can't be insured to drive a quad on the road. I might not be able to get coverage from the two-bit companies in TH. But tell me this Henny Penny, are you covered for any and all damages that may effect others as a result of something you do. After all, if the sky is falling ( Golf cart operations on public roads in the United States have resulted in 130 fatalities recorded by FARS during 2013 – 2018) or 260 per million. Getting struck by lightning is 1 in a million. Complete Allstate coverage for my cart in Florida is $22 / year. Lets list all the awful things we face without insurance. Or better yet build yourself a really strong roof and hide in your bedroom. I would suggest there is far more about you in what you write than you even realize. By the way my Ketch costs US$ 8700/year to insure and much less chance of running someone over than my cart.
  10. When the hordes descend on Pattaya, and don't deny the Chinese are coming. They and only them , armed with their wallets, will determine what Pattaya becomes. Nobody else has a meaningful vote to change squat. Girls, bars bye, bye. Lady boys may even eat at the table.
  11. That would work for sure but I am adverse to dealing with immigration offices for 25 years. Here is the worst followed closely by Costa Rica. Brazil was super cool and welcoming granting me a permanent residency ''stable union'' with my gf before my nasty divorce finalized. Anyway I'm lazy, 13000 is worth it to me to not step in the building ie; covid. The other deal was my Itau account carried a heavy penalty to withdrawal monthly and entailed a second transfer to my Brazil checking. For me I became friends with my agent, looked forward to seeing him and sharing a JWB. I like not worrying about an issue I used to. You did the same just differently.
  12. This what I have done and will continue to do. I use the services of an agent costs 13,000. He deals with immigration and I just sign, he hands me my extension. IMO leaving B$ 800000 parked and shrinking in Bangkok Bank basically for the duration of my stay here is foolish. Look at just five years living here with money in my investment acct and paying an agent. In 5 years my 24K is now 38K, 14K upside minus agent fees 1.5K. I'm better by US$ 12,500 or $2500/ year. If I parked that 800K the best I could hope for is a $ 700 upside, worst case you lose $ 3200 in Baht depreciation. Happy. you're counting pennies while losing thousands. Before all you Henny Penny's start in " The skys falling if you use an agent'', save it for people with severe anxiety issues.
  13. Are you kidding, I was free after sponsoring her for twenty years, at the end the monthly bill was around 10K. You all talk about Thai girls, they have nothing on my Gringa. Thank God I had a pretty intense job to distract me from my situation. No dude, bitterness is like cancer.
  14. This tech will soon take over sailboat propulsion with electric motors that spin the propeller in reverse while under sail generating energy to recharge the lithium bank. Coupled with solar and wind just about as close as we've come to perpetual energy utilizing hydro, solar & wind to power a single transportation devise. Add on no noise or exhaust. I am looking at converting my 58' Steel Ketch to a twin system. Oceanvolt - Hydro Generator for Boats
  15. Gave the first wife a 1.5M dollar house on the ICW in St. Augustine and she sold and managed to <deleted> that money away. Twenty years, put her through college to get her Masters, never worked or paid a bill as long as we were together. Cut the ball and chain after 911 and went to Costa Rica and met my current Brazilian wife in the mountains where I was developing and building. It was 2002, I was 47, she was 22. From day one she was helping me, learned English in three months, deposited her first sales commission check for 65K a year later. Fast forward 18 years and together we've built three resort rentals we AirBnB, sold over a thousand acres and spend time between our beach house in Bahia and our 58' Ketch here at Ocean Marina. Deal is when I pass on she gets my half of what we both put together all because it was not an option she would accept to be worthless and lazy. Meanwhile the Ex is living on $900 Social Security with her boyfriend who just got released for performing acupuncture without a license. Let it be, Let it be!
  16. I wouldn't be too sure of that, you obviously rolling along with quite the bitter streak
  17. Chill Barney, The dude said she is 30% liquid and when he crooks she gets his cash. Sounds like a plan to me. What's your plan there Mr, B ?
  18. You would need to get my wives together along with my gf, ex-wife and the maid, ask them because I don't recall anything in particular.
  19. I really think the cut off is the amount of power, I heard mention less than 150cc=no license. Now there are elec bicycles, skateboards, standup scooters, those stand up balance devise. I will send Thai gf on a fact finding mission, she wants the damn thing , done run out of s**t to buy, jaja
  20. then it was a three wheeler right? what model ? I need the one carries 300kilo my gf is really fat 54kilo, jajaja. How much noise can electric make? Are you not overly concerned about insurance like all the miss henny pennys' on here ?
  21. Of course it does 1- These cops don't understand the law 2- Know when to punt when brown bags may be at stake 3- Can be swayed by a half decent bulls**ter
  22. Here's the deal, I've made countless passages on my 58' Ketch to places where I was either illegal, uninsured or both. Would I forego those experience's because of some remote risk, of course not. Some folks would prefer to lock themselves in their bedroom to insure their safety. Yet others will drink each night at their watering hole infested with prostitutes of various genders hanging out with their drug dealer buddies. Let it be. My point is I don't need anyone telling me '' the sky is falling'' if I choose to drive down the beach in my golf cart. I can confidently assume the risk I take is far less than that guy drinking each evening in the red light district but then again that's up to him.
