  1. Always red dot and I always play on American servers. I have been in US based RB6 team for nearly 3 years. I personally don't find the lag too bad, I suppose I have learned how to to cope with it. In RB6 Vegas I almost always play Team Survival with no respawn, so, so long as I get 1-2 kills I have done my job.

Forget about European servers though, totally unplayable. COD4 so far its been okay I tend to be getting 2 yellow dots.

Yeah me too - even have the motto 'The RED DOT'. I don't find the lag that bad too - If you play someone on a local server or fast connection then you can really kick ass!

COD4 has been ok for me too so far (even though my disk messed up) and there are plenty of people on from Singapore / Hong Kong that make for some lag free gaming.

    Fancy a private party?

  2. Lost My Account On Live 'Khun Mat' Acheivements, Unlocks, Downloads Etc when I changed from payment by credit card to prepaid card.

New gamertag is 'LordThySaviour' if you can add me to your friends lists.

Good to have seen you on Vegas at the weekend Mat, we had a good few rounds going there!

Yeah enjoyed it. Shows what a great game RB6V is, still enjoying it 2nd time around.

    Might have to buy that.

There is another patch and map pack coming out for Vegas for the New Years, its good to see this title being supported. (and yes Mat I will definitely be on COD4 - I have preodered mine)

The next title I will have though is Ace Combat 6 !!

Great looking forward to the new patch & maps! - COD4 out today!!! A trip to MBK is in order I think.

  4. Last time I was in the States I noticed that the sudafed was in a locked cabinet and you had to ask the employee to open it up for you. Guess they are really keeping an eye on the purchasers.

Apparently they can be mixed with something, so the governments are keeping an eye on them. Not sure what it is.

I'll have to admit I tried them for several days, then quit. They do work really well for taking away hunger pains and forgetting about food. But if anything makes me tired or feel odd, I'm done unless it's just for a day or two.

For my weight loss I'm not using drugs. I've dramatically changed how I eat, and have added more exercise by using an air walker (love those things!) and taking short walks when it's not too hot. Weight loss? Five pounds since Saturday.

I believe they are used in the preparation of crystal meth or 'yaba' as it is called in Thailand when mixed with speed. Probably the reason you have problems getting them locally.

  5. Just got an XBox 360 the other day. Finally got it hooked up to internet. Couldnt get Jockstar as someone else had it. :o So i'm Jockstar1974. You wont see me around too much yet. But whats everyone playing?

  6. Have you got the T8 and T10 screwdrivers too? Im waiting for those from the states then i will fix it myself.

You'll need to remover the x-clamps, there's a really good guide online.

PM if u want the details and god luckwith your project.

You can get the case opening tool at MBK, I used it to change my case and it was fairly straight forward.

  7. I've not been on Xbox Live since Ms started wielding the banstick, but am itching for some online play (I'm waiting for one XLBA game to be released before i try).

So, anyone in a similar position fancy a few games over XLink ?

Phazey - Did you get banned from xbox live? I am still using it in Bangkok using a UK credit card & set up but have not had any problems (yet). I have not played any copies games on line just originals.

  8. There's been a lot of talk about the new 90 days in a 180 day period for Visa exemptions. There are a lot of rumors flying and a lot of people are worried. My personal opinion is that the rule will never be enforced, and was just put on the books for certain "undesirables."

Having said all that, I still woudn't want to take my chance with a border run after Jan 1st. I've already gotten my tourist visa and I highly suggest others do the same.

You think the new regulations won't be enforced but you don't want to take the chance. Why not?

    For two reasons.

One, because it's just my opinion and really it could go either way.

And two, because as I mentioned before there seems to be more scrutiny at land crossings than at the airport. I plan to do all of my future "visa runs" through the airport. When you think about it, buying a round trip ticket to Singapore, spending a few hours there then returning, is not much more expensive than the 2,000 baht you'd pay for a visa run, and it's certainly a safer bet coming through an airport.

I had a friend from Mauritius who was doing this long before the new regulations.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I got a 'highlighed' visa stamp coming through the airport on the 6th October!!

  9. BANGKOK (XFN-ASIA) - Thailand's deposed premier Thaksin Shinawatra is still in China and has no plans to return to the kingdom anytime soon, his legal adviser said Saturday.

'He is still in Beijing and will stay there for a while,' Noppadol Pattama told reporters, adding Thaksin, who was ousted in a bloodless coup in September, was not returning to Thailand anytime soon.

Thaksin was in New York when the coup happened, and had since been living in self-imposed exile in London, where he has a home, but the former premier has been staying in China since this month, raising speculation he might return home soon.

Local reports said Thaksin might come back to Thailand in December, but Noppadol declined to say where the deposed leader would go after Beijing.

Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont, who was installed by the military following the coup, has said he was willing to hold talks with Thaksin about his return, if he approached Surayud to make formal arrangements.

But Surayud also said Thaksin should wait until 'security issues' were resolved before looking to return.

The premier said on Friday that martial law, imposed after the putsch, was still needed in the kingdom's north, a stronghold of Thaksin.

  10. They should start accepting those European Biometrics passports. I am going to get one next week with wireless chip so they can scan this remotely. I wonder if this ever will come in place.

Imagine, you have your passport and you just walk through the gate. No scan, no picture, everything is stored on the passport. But you know, it reminds me fight with crime - they are always ahead of you. European Passports have pinctures stored, and immigration wants fingerprints. Once passport will have fingerprints stored, then they will ask for another check. Never ending, they always wants more and more.

e-card system has been up and running in certain countries in the middle east for about 5 years now!

Loads quicker and easier - if you have nothing to hide!

  11. TOT banks on Suvarnabhumi connectivity

BANGKOK: -- TOT Plc. expects a solid financial windfall from its telephone and internet services at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

“TOT has invested 100 million baht in setting up a communications system at the new airport and we are confident that we will see a full return on investment within three years,” said Somphon Chanprasert, TOT senior executive vice president.

He added that the state enterprise’s internet and international calling services will be ready for Suvarnabhumi Airport’s opening on Thursday, September 28.

“In case of an emergency, we have an uninterruptible power supply and two fiber optic networks as back up,” said Somphon.

Customers will be charged 500 baht an hour for internet access, with a minimum charge of 100 baht. International calling charges will follow normal TOT rates.
