Now I need to go to a hospital and wait for 6 to 8 hours, with people requiring serious medical assistance, to see a doctor to get a prescription for painkiller type medicine (ie: tramadol). I have been buying this medicine for 30+ years worth 80 baht in most pharmacies to diminish lower back pain from a damaged/disintegrating disc. This is a severe drain on medical facilities and a significant increase in cost for these medicines with little to no gain. Previously, the department had required a limit to the amount purchased and some sort of ID, this was working quite effectively, although added administration for small business.
