I can confirm this. I wrongly assumed that the hospital's used the pink slip to upload the test result for you on some database. However that may not be the case. After reading this post I checked the notifications section of the Morchana app and I've had numerous requests asking me to upload my 2nd PCR info. You don't do it using the QR code scanner in the app. In the notification message there is a personalised link provided that you can open and it takes you to a webpage that allows you to upload your test info and the PDF file. And just like scotsdude as soon as I did that I went from "medium risk" to "very low risk". So anyone reading that hasn't uploaded your test result I suggest you check the Morchana notifications section. I had my app notifications turned off hence why I hadn't noticed mine.

All you need to do is go to one of the designated hospitals at the link below. Fill out a form that they will provide, give them your passport and the pink slip you received on entry to Thailand. The hospital will upload the test result for you using the pink slip you give them you don't need to enter anything yourself. I'd suggest arriving as early as possible as there can be queues. As far as your arrival day being 0 or 1 I haven't heard any clear instruction on that. I assumed it's day 0 as when I was quarantined here last year the hospital referred to my check-in date as day 0. But again, this is just an assumption from my own experience. If you look at the first document in the link I provided it actually says you can get tested any day between 5-7. So I just personally I would call your arrival day 0, then get tested on either day 5 or 6 only, not 7. That way no matter if your first day is labelled officially as 0 or 1 you will be within the correct timeframe.

For me, I received my Thai Pass on 24 Dec, 2 days after the suspension, with 13 Jan arrival being approved in the Thai Pass

This is very strange. And I feel for anyone who this affects. Luckily I'm already in the country myself. However after reading this article I spoke to my girlfriend about this "new" information that has been released today, about the approved passes having to enter by January 10th. And her response was that "this isn't new information". And that she had read that this was going to be the case in a couple of weeks ago. She then proceeded to show me an article written in Thai, dated 21st of December 2021 that seems to back up her claim that this information was not new. And that they mentioned a cut-off date of January 10th weeks ago. I don't know how many of you read Thai but maybe you can have a look at this article yourselves, I'll include a screenshot. I wonder if this was reported weeks ago and yet for some reason wasn't included when being translated for the foreign news sources. Or maybe the gf is confused, could be either, lol.

I flew in a few days back. The day before my flight I used the check in feature to pick my seat and made sure to be sitting with nobody next to me, right at the back of the plane. Fast forward to the flight and someone was given the seat next to me. Obviously I wasn't very happy about this but what could I do? Luckily after boarding had finished I noticed that the seat parrallel to mine, a set of two was completely empty. During check-in these cost about £30 extra if I recall correctly. Anyway, I asked the flight crew if it was okay if I sat there as I wanted to be separated from other passengers and he told me it was fine as boarding was over. So I did indeed sit on my own during the flight. However if you checked my ticket you would assume I was sat by someone. I'm curious as to what would happen if the guy I was supposed to sit next to tested positive, I'd assume they'd contact me and I'd be screwed even though I never actually sat next to him for the flight. But as one of the posters above said, I actually don't think they are really enforcing this rule for passengers who are travelling solo. The group situation I get that they might but as a solo passenger I don't think they will enforcing this. There are no written rules for it. Like, is it just the seat next to the positive person that counts? What about the seats in front or behind? Just one seat or will it be two seats distance from a positive test that will be quarantined. There no official guidence for this and so I really think they necessarily be enforcing it.

As of right now with the info we have nothing has changed for you other than possibly a second PCR test at a later stage in a government facility not at your expense. Whether this will still be the case after fridays meeting is still to be seen.

The evidence suggests we have less to worry about regarding this strain than any other that has come before it. If however, as you suggest things turn out to be different then unfortunately its too late. The omicron variant is already in Thailand, and if whats been happening in other countries is anything to go by then these extra measures won't achieve anything. The 14 day quarantine and PCR tests didn't stop the less contagious beta variant, so why on earth do people think it will achieve anything with this more transmissible one?

As this thread is similarly themed I'll ask this here. I'm flying back to the UK at the end of the month with KLM. I'm just sorting all my tests for the return home. After checking on the KLM website and on gov.uk I can see that both specify that a rapid antigen test is acceptable for the test needed 72 hours before the flight. However when googling places to get the test I came across th MedConsult Clinic in Sukhumvit, they offer a rapid antigen test but they specify in the description it can't be used for international travel. I tried calling to confirm but the are not answering. What's everyone else in this thread doing as far as the 72 hour test? Will you be doing a PCR just to be safe or save some money with the Antigen test? I obviously don't want to pay twice as much for a test if it's not necessary.
