Two temples this time, one a thousand years old, the other only a decade but it is an ancient temple in material & design. It was an incredible find. Who built it I could not find out, but they spent lorry loads of money to build it, & I mean lorry loads.

A site that was impossible to see as was so overgrown, but for some reason I went back & to my amazement it had been totally cleared of vegetation, & what was revealed was amazing.

Up in the Kulen mountains is a site so very ancient, prehistoric carvings have been discovered in this region, we also see a miracle, the birth of a giant jungle butterfly. What a wondrous place this was.

An astonishing location, a huge temple up in the clouds that is simply without equal. It is one of the most wondrous temples in the land. It is the legendary & mighty Preah Vihear.

Something special about this ancient temple. Once held what looked like a huge statue, now all but neglected, a place of wonder.

This is amazing, there is a site deep in the jungle at Kulen where a huge kiln once was, now you can find piles of pottery all around. It literally is lying all over the floor, but because its so difficult to get to not many people go there.

It is a place to reach out & touch history.

I literally stumbled on this, an ancient abandoned quarry & in it were carvings, its seems to be a school for people to learn how to become master craftsman & be worthy to build temples to the gods. A fascinating place steeped in history.

Oh to wonder of the past glories of this ancient temple. It is so ornate & special. It once was a beacon to all who came within its orbit, bit now it is abandoned & forgotten, but still a thing of wonder & of beauty.

Banteay Samre is a temple with mighty castle like walls, left in ruins & restored by a scholar who dedicated his life to its restoration.

A Forgotten Temple But Should Not Be
 

This temple is so often overlooked & is not far to drive to from Siem Reap, in a wooded area all alone & mostly ignored it  is a real treasure. Once it was thriving & a centre of a bustling community, now there is only this temple left, all have gone.

It was an incredible journey to locate this site, the land is still littered with landmines, but it was worth every step. This location is as mystical as it is ancient. I will never forget this temple, it captivated me.

The Killing Fields are renowned but not so many visit the site mostcommonly recognised by that name. I hired a guide to fact check all I quote in this video. It is very disturbing, but without recording history & remembering the victims, those destructive forces may again return. 
 

I am alone this Christmas far away from home, & up in the sky lays an ancient temple where the gods dwell, & it is there I see my Christmas miracle.

The mysterious private temple of an all powerful ancient king, once topped with a tower of gold, this was the heart of his very religion, the religion that drove him on to create his mighty empire. It is a magnificent place that leaves one in awe.

In the jungles of Cambodia is an abandoned ancient city & there lays a 1000+ year old temple that was built to get in contact with the gods. This temple like a machine is built with a purpose,  to grant wishes & blessings, & it still works to this very day.
It is an awe inspiring site as it is placed way up on a cliff looking out over the sprawling lost city in the jungle.
