  1. I'm a bit of a rookie when it comes to weed. Been buying mine from Sukhumweed on Sukhumvit 42 in Bangkok. I'm not really knowledgeable when it comes to strains and prices but the best I have had so far, has to be Blue Dream, 550 a gram.

Can anyone tell me any good and decently-priced stuff I should try? And also where in Bangkok/Sukhumvit area is recommended other than where I am currently purchasing it?

    Thanks

  2. I actually live at Sukhumvit Soi 50 and for a few years there has been a complex of bars there opposite Tesco. Cheap Charlie's also moved there. These bars are a much better class of bars than QPP IMO. Well, in the sense that you don't have girls bugging you for drinks and the girls working there are not available for barfine if you do get tempted after a few beers. I drink there most days now.

  3. Does anyone who used to drink at the bar complex in the title, know if the previous bars there (which are now gone and a Makro standing in their place) know if the previous owners moved to another area?

I've been away for the past year and used to enjoy drinking there. Maybe they've all scattered to the four winds?

    Cheers

In words attributed to the late J.P. Morgan,

If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it

Real, lawyer-types in Bangkok offer one-stop concierge service (pick-up, drop off, 90-day reporting) to well-heeled ex-pats and foreign workers and their families. One merely needs to sit in the L area at CW for more than 5 minutes to observe this. I do know a few who use the services of a particular lawyer, and have for at least 15 years. I gagged when told the price.

For all others I'd say "Nay". Once you're on the hook with an agent, well get used to it. That's assuming they don't lose your passport. Most in the L area doing marriage extensions seem to be agent-less; they are easy to identify obviously, lugging their massive photo albums. Oh, and the wife.

What is your reporting office? Plenty of experiences here, might highlight any issues.

Thanks, but in this instance I disagree with J P Morgan.

  5. My old method of travelling to Laos every year to get my visa done is not an option with borders closed.

I may have to consider using a visa agent in a few weeks when my visa expires. I have a coupe of questions:

    a) Is it safe/legal?

    b) What kind of price do they charge for a one-year extension based on marriage?

    c) Do I need to have 400,000 in a Thai account, and if so how long should it have been sitting there?

    Thanks in advance

    IMO slightly self indulgent.

Many people can not afford the return trip that you outline.

Slightly hurtful given the time of the year. Many folk missing family unable to travel.

It's his money, he can do what he wants with it. Or maybe you're jealous because you don't have much?

I have a question regarding the health insurance. How long must the insurance cover?

I heard that it should cover the whole length of the visa but I also heard that one month is enough so it's confusing.

How much did you spend on the 10 days quarantine at the hotel?

Also, I got stamped in for 90 days, although I'll be extending that prior to expiry.
