I assume you have family here, otherwise there is absolutely ZERO reason to come back here.

A non o retirement. You will be stamped into Thailand for 90 days. In last 30 apply for annual extension.
It's an option
thank you !
if that is an easy to do option, i would do that.
have to check requirements for obtaining a non o in germany.
i have to check with the embassy in Berlin on what they are asking for...
thank you again, Wolfgang

Currently there is 14 night quarantine at ASQ for staying Bangkok. This is expected to be reduced in the future.

Read that Hua Hin (the place i live) is opening up in october without mandatory quarantine...but it is all unclear till today.
thank you Dr.Jack!

If you buy a return ticket it best to have one where you can change dates. If return was within 45 days on flight to Thailand then that would serve as your onward flight if requested by airline
yes, thanks. the return date should be within 45 (not 30?) days after entry, to match the airline requirements. (and when in Thailand change return to a desired (much later) date. thank you !

ps: is coming in on visa exemption and converting to non o retirement through an visa agent a good option? ( will i need to buy a new flight / coming + going for that?)
IMO this is your best option. However you do not need an agent.
You can obtain the non O at immigration.
You need 800k in bank on the day you apply.
That gives you 90 day stamp. In last 30 days obtain 12 month extension. Money having been in bank 2 months minimum.
You can read up about the COE, insurance etc.
thank you, thank you, thank you Dr.Jack54
i think, i will go for that option.
the COE i will obtain soon and i will probably by a new return flight as well.

thanks again Dr.Jack.
ps: now i need to figure out how get to Hua Hin without having to quarantine...

hi and thanks for helping !
lived in Thailand the past 15 years on retirement visas.
went to germany in may, want to come back in october.
found out now that i forgot to obtain a multible entry stamp. ( so i cant use my till december valid visa anymore. / also my current passport is valid less then 18 month)
my question:
" how to get back to Thailand in october with a brandnew unstamped passport in order
to obtain a new retirement visa, when inside the country?"
i still have 800k on my bankaccount.
i still have my rental agreement for my aptm in Hua Hin.
i still have my expat healthinsurance covering covid 19.
i still have a flight back to Bangkok in october. ( but only the flight back to Thailand)
thank for taking your time to help me out ! i appriciate!
ps: is coming in on visa exemption and converting to non o retirement through an visa agent a good option? ( will i need to buy a new flight / coming + going for that?)

Update on thailand pass and thailand no quarantine
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
good day.
i am from germany and do have a covid 19 pass (Moderna) + an expat health insurance covering covid 19 with no limits.
my flight leaves Hamburg on november, 2nd.
i want to come in on a "Visa exemption". (and convert to non o/a inside the country)
Wondering if i will make it, if the website based Thai pass will only go online on november, 1st.
what is your advice?
thanks, Wolfgang
