Here is what I discovered Yes, you can file a consumer complaint or legal action against Air Asia in Thailand through the judicial system, either by filing a complaint with the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB), or by initiating a lawsuit in the appropriate Thai court, possibly as a class action if enough consumers are affected by the same issue. Thailand's Consumer Protection Act provides mechanisms for addressing disputes, and the OCPB can mediate and even initiate legal action on your behalf if the case involves a matter of public interest, according to Tilleke & Gibbins. 1. File a Complaint with the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) How to File: The OCPB provides channels for consumers to file complaints, including online, phone, and in-person options. OCPB's Role: The OCPB will investigate your complaint to determine if the business operator (Air Asia, in this case) has violated any laws. Mediation and Legal Action: The OCPB will attempt to mediate the dispute between you and Air Asia. If mediation fails and the case is deemed to be in the public interest, the OCPB can appoint a legal officer to initiate civil or criminal actions against the airline. 2. Initiate Legal Action in a Thai Court Consult a Lawyer: You should consult a lawyer in Thailand to understand the procedures and assess your chances of winning the case. Filing a Lawsuit: Your lawyer can assist you in filing a lawsuit with the appropriate court in Thailand. Class Action Lawsuits: If you are part of a larger group of consumers affected by the same issue, you may be able to file a class action lawsuit, which allows multiple victims with small individual claims to seek compensation together. Your valuable opinion is much appreciated I was denied boarding by Air Asia in Kuala Lumpur in April 2025 I had to buy a ticket from Malaysian Airlines with no apparent problems. Within one hour with no denial of boarding I got an attorney to file action against Air Asia. That attorney for 4 months did nothing. I went to another attorney in Chiang Mai. He wanted 50,000 baht retainer As informed, I am told that there is an avenue for action when the underlying transaction is of a consumer nature. I am told that I can file action against Air Asia under this section of consumer action without an attorney Hope you will get me a link if in fact this form of action is permitted I wish to thank you in advance for your input
